Description

Galveston County Parks & Senior Services opened the “Motion Wellness System”, the first playground of it's kind in Texas on August 14, 2014. This system is used for focused training on balance & coordination and has activities to support ordinary daily life. The system offers a safe approach for older adults to improve and maintain their mobility, flexibility and balance skills. This safe approach will encourage independence and can be used as a fall prevention assessment and training tool.

This senior playground unit will have the following components:

The park was clean, safety personnel monitored efficiently and frequently. The bathrooms were out of soap and paper towels and in these uncertain times cleanliness is essential. the size of the shed accommodated a large family gathering and the electrical outlets were strong enough to support our chef and DJ's needs. I would certainly return to this park. The children enjoyed themselves and played until the sun went down.
Valero had an Easter Egg Hunt and party for their Rec Club constituents. It was an awesome party. There were cupcakes and kolaches and playground equipment prior to and during the hunts. The volunteers were EEGCELENT.
Beautiful and clean park. Great for tennis and walking dog and family picnics
Carbide Park as a wonderful place to relax and take the kids for the day I went with my mom to get some pictures taken and we both loved the scenery The only problem we had was the mosquitoes were quite thick but we also left for the park quite late so that wasn't very surprising that we would run into so many mosquitoes but over all, my mother and I will be returning to this park Maybe we will bring our dog as well
Fantastic PARK....well kept with a wonderful garden area and playground in the back. Highly recommend. Galveston Co. Master Gardners practice here.
I've loved carbide park since I was a kid! It's always clean and people are friendly oh yeah and you can get pecans from the orchard for pies!
My favorite park in the area to stretch my legs and get into the nature and get great views and walking in. Area is kept up and beautiful. People are friendly
This park is really nice. Lots of places for walking. Good for young kids.
Nice, clean and quiet place to relax and enjoy the scenary. Tree looks great. My grandson enjoyed here.
Beautiful park, very clean. Lots of green grass area for children to play also very nice playground. Can walk you dog plenty of doggie bags available and trash bins
