Specialization

>General Cardiology
General Cardiology services include preventative cardiology, diagnosis, and treatment.

>Invasive Cardiology

>Angiography – A diagnostic tool for the treatment of coronary artery disease.


>Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

More commonly known as coronary angioplasty or simply angioplasty. This therapeutic procedure is used to treat the narrowed coronary arteries of the heart found in heart disease.


>General Stress Tests

Under physician supervision, the patient’s electrocardiogram, or EKG, and blood pressure are monitored while the patient is exercised on a treadmill. This is used to evaluate for any electrical abnormalities during exercise and to evaluate the patient’s exercise tolerance.


>Nuclear Stress Tests

A non-invasive procedure used to evaluate for ischemia in the coronary arteries. The heart is imaged at rest and after stress to evaluate for differences in blood flow through the coronary arteries. Our facility is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) to ensure superior diagnostic image quality.

>MUGA Testing

A nuclear imaging procedure used to evaluate the ejection fraction, or pumping action, of the heart.

>Pacemaker/Defibrillator Implantation

A pacemaker is a medical device which uses the electrical impulses, delivered by electrodes contracting the heart muscle, to regulate the beating of the heart. The primary purpose of a pacemaker is to maintain an adequate heart rate. This is done either because the heart’s native pacemaker is not fast enough or there is a blockage in the heart’s electrical conduction system.


>Congestive Heart Failure

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is generally defined as the inability of the heart to supply sufficient blood flow to meet the body’s needs.

External Counterpulsation, or ECP, is a non-invasive treatment for patients suffering from advanced heart disease and CHF. ECP therapy is clinically proven to help relieve symptoms associated with advanced heart disease.
