Care Mountain has been helping provide in-home care for my Dad for the last few years. They have been thoroughly professional and amazing to work with. They matched Dad’s care to 2 caregivers, both worked very well with our needs. With Dad’s stage 4 Parkinson’s, the Care Mountain team was so patient and flexible in supporting his daily care needs and they engage him everyday with a smile. Care Mountain has been Godsend for us and we would highly recommend them for reliable, professional home care.
Both of my parents have been in need of care, and it is a major physical and mental challenge. Care Mountain has been a huge blessing. Gagan and his staff are professional, thorough, organized, compassionate and honest. They consider their caregivers part of their caregiving family and are dedicated to finding the best fit possible for both the care-receiver and the caregiver. Our caregivers have helped us through the various life transitions with my parents in a professional and caring manner. I highly recommend Care Mountain and have referred others to them.
Everyone we dealt with, in person and on the phone, were genuinely caring and helpful. The softspoken owner, Gagan, who came to our home was respectful and concerned that we have the perfect caregiver for our particular circumstances. The lady whom he suggested was a perfect match and we fell in love with her. We trusted these wonderful people and we were rewarded with the best of care. MARY has been my father's primary caregiver for more than one year, working 24 hours Monday - Friday. She is very thorough and attentive with his care. Mary has an established routine, which includes taking my father to the Senior Center one or two times per week, sometimes more often depending on the Center's scheduled activities. In addition to caring for him, she keeps everything neat and clean, which is how my mother kept their home, too. Although I visit my father every day and have our routine that is incorporated with Mary's, it is an enormous relief to know that my father is in trusted hands at all times. My siblings, who do not live in Dallas, would agree. TAMARA is my father's weekend caregiver and I can say the same things about her that I did about Mary. She and Mary have a compatible rapport and work well as a team, which I learned when there are multiple caregivers are especially important. They timely communicate with each other, and me, any behavioral changes and/or changes in my father's routine or care. This allows my father to get consistent, uninterrupted care when they change shifts. Gagan and Deepti stay informed on my father's care, indicating there is regular communication between them and their caregivers as well.
After having worked with other caregivers in DFW and being continually disappointed I came across Care Mountain. Care Mountain came to my house for a very informative and eye opening interview. After the interview I knew they would be my choice for a caregiver. The owner of the company supplied me with interviewees but I knew Linda was the right fit as soon as we started speaking. Linda has been such an amazing fit for us and my mom just loves her. Linda keeps my mom as active and as well cared for as anyone could. I cannot say enough about the care that both Care Mountain and Linda have provided and I truly believe this partnership has given my mother a much higher quality of life and undoubtedly extended the time I have with her.
Dealing with an aging parent is very hard and it's challenging to navigate how to honor a parent's wishes with keeping them safe and secure and well cared for in their home. We chose Care Mountain because of a great recommendation from my in laws. Care Mountain is very detailed and works to find the best caregiver for your situation. Teresa Hernandez is amazing with my mom. She came right in and made my mom feel safe and comfortable. My mom was very hesitant about having a person in her home, but Teresa was able to make my mom feel comfortable. Her house has never looked so good! Teresa organized everything and put things away to make it easier for my mom to find stuff. We are really looking forward to having Teresa as my mom's main caregiver. My mom said Teresa made her feel like she could do more herself than she has in a long time. Thank you for your positive aura! UPDATED REVIEW: It's taken me a bit to get back to writing an update to my review. We used Care Mountain for a short period of time and then decided to move my mom to a different option. I have to say that I was very disappointed with Deanna the care coordinators response and call back time. We had an issue with a care giver cancelling at the last minute and never showing up. Fortunately, my sister lived relatively close and handled it. It could have been a bad situation as no one from Care Mountain bothered to call and let our family know that a caregiver would not be showing up to help my mom for the nights. What if no family member was in town? Hate to think what my family would have done. When I brought this up - Deanna claimed she reached out. No she didn't. Please improve your response time and call backs. I'm leaving 2 stars overall due to the potential problems not acknowledging clients can cause. I do stand behind my review of Theresa-that doesn't change. She helped us in a challenging time.
Our caregiver Teresa Hernandez has been a blessing for my Dad. She shows deep compassion when it comes to taking care of my Dad. She has become part of our family. My Dad has dementia and it can be hard to find someone who will fit for a person with dementia and it was a hit right from the beginning and he has really taken a shine to her. She has very kind and loving heart to us all. We are blessed and lucky to have her.
Care Mountain sent Theresa Hunter to take care of our mother, who is just about to turn one hundred. Theresa has added years to our mother's life, good wonderful years. She is one of the kindest, wisest, and most capable people we have ever met, and it brings us great joy to know that such a person is caring for our mother. She has our mother's back at all times, she is thoughtful, she is experienced, and she is insightful. A year ago our mother took a bad fall, and things looked dark for her. Finding Theresa was such a blessing, she has completely turned the situation around. Thank you Care Mountain, for the wonderful gift of Theresa Hunter. Mike and Jim McGrath
When my father-in-law was discharged from the hospital after a 3 month stay to his home with my elderly mother-in-law as his primary caregiver, we knew they would need help making this adjustment. They disagreed and it was a bit of battle getting them to agree to having some assistance in their home. Once we started with Care Mountain, however, their resistance quickly faded away. The owner of the company, Gagan, came and met personally with me and my in-laws and patiently addressed all of their questions and concerns. They sent us the most wonderful caregiver, Tetteh, who I am convinced is an angel on this earth. Tetteh went to great lengths to accommodate their schedule and was willing to come early, stay late, or even work on her off days when my father-in-law's condition worsened and mom needed more help. When my father-in-law died, Tetteh and Gagan both reached out multiple times to check on our family and share our grief. I don't know what we would have done without them and am so very grateful we had them as a part of our team as we went through this journey.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Care Mountain. My 93 year old dad has dementia and my 90 year old mother was his full time caretaker, not agreeing to have any assistance whatsoever. That needed to change when Mom fell and broke her leg, but she remained very resistant. We were fortunate to find Care Mountain where Rick and Deanna spent time getting to know our family and talking with our mom before setting up caregiver interviews. That time spent allowed them to match the caregivers’ personalities to that of my parents. Each of those caregivers, Dee, Jan, Dora, Nell, and Anu, had experience with dementia patients and have not only ensured my dad’s safety, administered his meds, kept him clean and comfortable, and helped him to remain positive, but have changed my mother’s mind about having help. It was music to my ears to hear her say how much less stressed she is knowing that Dad was being well cared for and that now she cannot imagine being without her “support group.” I believe that this is a testament not only to the skill that the Care Mountain caregivers have working with dementia patients, but to their skill in working with the patient’s spouse. I am so grateful that we found Care Mountain!
