Caregivers America Home Health Services
"CareGivers America opened in 2002. Its mission was seemingly simple: Keep people home. With those three words in mind, the founders began hiring caregivers to provide in-home personal care and homemaker services. As the years progressed, they found that to keep people home, they needed to offer more than just non-medical services. What evolved was a company that could meet ALL of a consumer’s home care needs, no matter their age, diagnosis, or their ability to pay for services.Today, the company offers CareGiver/Homemaker services, Home Health Nursing and Therapy, Medical Supplies, Home Adaptations/Modifications and more!"

After numerous caregivers, we were fortunate to find our current caregiver. She is excellent and makes a difference. We greatly appreciate her. That's very positive. Unfortunately, when she is away for time off, many, but not all of the temporary caregivers who are assigned to take her place are unprofessional and unqualified. They do little, instead spending the day doing everything but their job - CARING FOR THE CLIENT. The home is not well kept and their attire and demeanor are unprofessional. Sloppy clothes, bare feet, sprawled out on the furniture, on cell phones all day - these are just several of the items that concern our family. We have to trust our parent is being cared for in a professional manner. Anything less is unacceptable. Unfortunately, the company rarely visits the home to verify the employee is working in a professional manner. I've made numerous calls to our account representative to express my frustrations and concerns but never received a call back to address the matter. I truly don't understand why this happens. Where is the concern of management? You're left to realize it's not taken seriously.
On March 1st I had a complete Knee replacement. My therapist Allie came to my home on the 3rd and there aren't enough adjectives to explain how great of a physical therapist she is. Allie pushed me when I thought I couldn't do it, she gave me confidence and lessened my fears of walking again. She's extremely gentle and very respectful of your boundaries as well as including your family members that are helping you at home. If I ever need another surgery Allie will most certainly be the person I request. Thank you for all that you did for me, words can't express enough the gratitude I have for you!!
I have been a proud member of this Agency for Nine years. I really don't know of any other company you can pick up the phone and speak to the President or Vice President . Mia and Tracy are wonderful leaders. The Regional Manager Mary Boss Mary is understanding and fair . I have been fortunate to grow with this company . I feel like I am part of a family working for this company . Everyone I have worked with is wonderful
A very senior family member uses this agency for personal care aids. I am her POA and troubleshoot when needed. Although she likes her aid, whenever an aid is unavailable due to vacation, illness, weather, Caregivers does not outreach to clients or their families regarding substitutes. They apparently have no protocol or policy for providing subs and only when pressured by multiple calls do they attempt to respond. But often in vain as the aid may or may not show up and once again, no one is notified. That leaves a dependent senior waiting all day for a shower that never happens and worse, skipping meals while waiting for an aid who is a no show. With each incident there is an apology, but nothing ever changes. And during Covid they apparently have a loose requirement regarding vaccinations and hence many aids are not vaccinated. Again leaving vulnerable seniors without support, esp those they already know cannot get the vaccine due to medical issues.
The Brutal Truth About Why Nobody Wants to Work for Your Company Lower than average pay, terrible benefits, Management only cares about profits, Employee turnover rate is shocking but not a surprise what do they expect when you do not value your employees, Pay time off is a joke, It used to be great 5 paid days after 1 year not anymore, those incharge of the day to day handling Payroll, scheduling, providing training are under educated, under trained, and they will hire anyone who can pass a urine test. Raises sure 1-2% sounds good but when you work like a dog, rack up mileage on your vehicle, increased oil changes at your own expense. Traveling sometimes 45 minutes to next consumer. If your lucky they will compensate you at minimum wage for your travel time. Your calls for help or resources are ignored, Shady paycheck system, word of advise always check for their “mistakes” otherwise your checks will be short Oh and plan to get paid only twice a month. If there is a holiday expect your pay up to 4 days later then payday. Payroll doesnt have enough time to make sure were paid in a timely manner. Expect the office to hound you to cover call offs an expect you to drop everything your doing to arrive within an hour. They will make you feel guilty if you dont. Other then that You hear only from them when you screw up. Weekends are mandatory. Caregivers america OPEN YOUR EYES look at the other reviews on employment sites or even here on google. Signed A fantastic employee currently looking for a new company with values and better opportunities
Absolutely terrible!!! I was hired by them last May. They promised me $20 an hour to start then started me at 17. They claimed I could pick hours and that was a lie! After a month I was lucky to have 4 hours of work a week but they always called me for hours that NEVER HAPPENED! Stephanie in scheduling is a liar and very fake. They only want numbers and they don’t care. I’m so thankful for the company I’m with now.
This company is terrible! I've coordinated their services to take care of my mother in law and they never showed up, we gave them a call and they came up with very cheap excuses. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THEIR SERVICES, THEY SUCK!!!!!
I worked with them for 3months it was great thinking about going back to with them again
Miguel saved my life. He kept it so real.
This company is just awful now. They have “no shows” often.
