No idea why so many bad reviews. We took our chances with this restaurant and surprisingly we were not disappointed. On the contrary we enjoyed our meal. The father daughter duo run the show at this restaurant, father / chef was very funny and friendly. Gave us a quick 2 min French language lesson. Daughter was very nice. The garlic naan, daal and chicken were really good. Pakoras were decent and the only complaint I had was the rice was a tad bit stale. But given the good daal Tadka served with it, I am ok to overlook that. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet, when you have limited options but fortunately for us this turned out to be great.
Please don’t order from this restaurant, totally garbage food, pathetic food….you can’t even eat it and not even digest it . The roti I got for $4.50 you can see the pictures, it’s not cooked even properly. Totally waste a time and money as a tourist, and this is what you get? So be careful going to this restaurant, he is making fool of people by giving uncooked food and even I ordered chicken also that was also worst and without salt. My friend also got same kind of food and threw roti in garbage and same with us.
Worst indian restaurant ever been. Went to order for take out. The guy who worked there asked us cash. We paid 90 CAD. He didnt give us recipt and probably put money in his pocket. Food was not good at all. All nan and prantha was uncooked. Addition shahi paneer was something else. Like he mixed with other dishes. However we ending up throwing food. We call back to restaurant. He said hes closing in 5 mins. And dont want to help us. I dont recommend this place to anyone.
Food tastes ok, but its not guaranteed that you will get what you ordered. Saag paneer was yellow in color and there were very few green spots in it rather than a green saag. You will get to know about your order after delivery that thats what they have. their payment machine was not working and they wanted me to pay in cash, but when that get to know that i cannot pay in cash then their machine worked. i will not suggest this place to anyone.
I feel bad for people who believe original Indian food Tastes like this. You need metal teeth to chew the naan. Worst worst worst food. If you are Indian looking for Indian food in Quebec City please don’t order from this place!
This restaurant is absolutely terrible. Do not go here! We ordered takeout from this restaurant, and they intentionally did not include one of our items. The food was extremely unpleasant and unappetizing. The place was filthy and not properly cleaned. I attempted to pay with a card, but the employee claimed it was broken and insisted on cash, which seemed suspicious. I strongly recommend avoiding this place and not ordering any food from here. You will regret spending your money and time here. The Quebec Food and Safety Department should consider shutting down this restaurant immediately. There are far better Indian food restaurant options available.
Maria was our waitress and we couldn't have had a better attention than from her!!! Despite her young age, she was very mature and already multilingual. The chef was also very attentive. We were there for a girls' night out and it did not disappoint!
THE WORST KITCHEN I’VE EVER SEEN! Dishes are left uncleaned from a long time, the dough and other food is left on the floor in the kitchen with mop sitting next to it. Not clean at all. I wish I could give zero rating. We were visiting Quebec just for one night & thought of having some Indian dinner but this restaurant literally stinking and its owner’s behaviour spoiled our whole trip. After looking at restaurant’s condition we decided not to eat the food, but we were charged 70$ without any bifurcation of the bill & instead of apologising or considering his mistake, owner is saying do whatever you can. He didn’t even renew his business license from last 3 years. A very big Shame on such people and restaurants! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY COST TO SAVE YOUR HEALTH
We had a terrible experience at this restaurant that I cannot express myself in words. At around 9:30 pm we picked up food to go and we mentioned explicitly that we have young kids and the food should be of good quality. They served stale food and the owner is not only a liar but also a cheat and bad tempered person. He deliberately asked for cash which we later realized is a trick that he practices every time. Few of my family members fell I’ll after consuming his tasteless and stale food. Have registered a complaint with canadaian food inspection agency. Please stay away from this restaurant at any cost. The owner is too rude and a cheat.
We went there around 8:30pm. We ordered malai kofta, veg Biryani, lamb rogan ghost and tandoori roti. We were told to order immediately everything as the kitchen was to be closed. Then she came back to tell us that there was no Malai kofta as it is sweet. Lamb was hard; the paneer dish we ordered instead of Malai kofta lacked salt, the veg Biryani had vegetables that were so coarsely cut and had broccoli and cabbage. Next when we went to pay, she increased the price from what was on the menu saying that the menu didn't have the current prices. Then the card machine was not working. I won't recommend this restaurant
