There's absolutely no reason for the siren to blow at 1 AM.  Or any other time given that everyone has cells, house phones, and the trucks have these new fangled things called sirens. It works well for the police an no one is TRAUMATISED by some selfimportant ego trip. How much business has been lost by them? B&B's have to warn guests. Service orgs like mine have to interrupt service calls when the siren blows at 90 db. People's health is affected. All the chief cares about is his precious ego. "Im important." No. You're not.

Is there a reason this alarm has to be SO loud? I’ve never heard a fire company alarm this loud before. It was over 100 decibels from a nearby restaurant. This is a public health threat.
