regularly visited Carlos Hair Salon for years while working nearby. I'm moving out of state soon, and this will be one of the places I miss. affordable great haircuts and nice people!
I think this is the most affordable haircut in the Boston area. In case you are wondering the quality would be compromised you are seriously mistaken. The hair stylists are well trained and do their job with a lot of care.

Do not go to this place ! The worst salon I have ever been. Undeniably, it is cheap but the service is horrible. First, the barber care more about chatting or watching the TV than your trimming your hair. The shampoo used to wash the hair is of cheap quality, it's giving me itchy scalp. Plus, they only accept cash. Bad communications too because the barber literally trim off the top of my hair without warning. Like right off complete bald !
I was a little nervous about a $15 cash-only walk-in haircut, but the nervousness subsided after I met Carlos. His calm and gentle demeanor put me at ease as he washed my hair and asked what I wanted. When he wasn't sure what I meant, he asked, and I left with my hair looking exactly the way I wanted it to, something no other stylist has ever been able to do for me. $15 to get my long, curly hair cut. Do keep in kind that cash-only means cash-only no venmo, credit, debit, etc.. Other than that, a delightful experience!

This hair salon is so good and a diamond in the rough. I loved it. Firstly, it is the cheapest which is number 1 factor. Its price make sense and not at all overpriced. Second, the service is simple and awesome. Don't wanna have unnecessary exaggerated service like other places do. Thirdly, my hairdresser, Carlos 'listens' to what his customers want. I got the exact hairstyle that I wanted according to my face shape and he delivered his best. I love it. And I come back every time.
Absolutely awesome care for the customer. I came in after it closed but Carlos still invited me in and did my hair amazingly. He made great conversation and is super kind. An absolute artist with the hair as well for a SUPER LOW PRICE. Will definitely be coming again and I recommend for anyone.
