The mission of the Carmel Public Library Foundation (CPLF) is to provide vital funds for Carmel Public Library (Harrison Memorial Library) that will ensure free library service in perpetuity. Our goal is to keep the library open, relevant and thriving for generations to come. 100% of the books, materials, programs and services are funded through charitable donations.
Carmel Public Library has been a treasured resource in Monterey County, California for 108 years. It has a renowned reputation and was awarded a 5-star rating by the Library Journal Index of Public Library Services – the highest rating available.
Some 112,000 library cardholders and visitors walk through the doors annually. The library serves babies, toddlers, elementary school children, teens, college students, parents, grandparents, job seekers and other individuals, as well as tourists visiting the Central Coast from all over the world.
