My go-to spot for catching the latest films, AMC on Shawnee in Savannah consistently provides a pleasant movie-watching experience. The theater is clean and well-maintained, staffed by friendly faces who seem to genuinely care about their patrons. The theater's ambiance is welcoming, though I must admit, it could benefit from a bit of updating. While the seats are comfortable enough, the addition of reclining seats like other AMC locations would elevate the experience to a whole new level. Nevertheless, the quality of the projection and sound system makes up for these minor shortcomings. Whether it's an action-packed blockbuster or a heart-warming romantic comedy, this theater ensures that every scene is brought to life. Overall, I enjoy my time at this AMC, and it continues to be my preferred spot for movies in Savannah. With just a few modern touches, I believe it could easily become a five-star venue. Until then, I'll happily continue to support my local theater and recommend it to fellow movie lovers
Going Tuesdays to watch new movies has been the best time to go because there is so little crowds to contend with. Saw Guardians of the Galaxy 3 last night and there was only one other couple in the theater with us.
Went to see Equalizer 3 and ordered tickets online. Some kind of mix-up with the order. The Manager came over and was so helpful in straightening it out. The theater was clean and the other employees were courteous and helpful with a smile. Our go to for holiday movies when the family visits.
We had a pleasant experience returning to this theater, considering our last time here was in 2019. The BIGD room is nice and has plenty of seats. We would love to see the outside of the building cleaned because it looked like an abandoned building.
The staff was nice and friendly, and the ticket purchasing experience online was fast and easy. When we got to the theater, we had to show the QR code for the ticket purchase, and they then physically printed us tickets and tore them. Seemed like a waste of paper. The theater seats were a bit old and definitely needed to be cleaned. The theater itself seemed a bit out of date inside, but it was clean, and the popcorn was good.
No attendant for tickets only. Fast line inside with friendly customer service. Place was cleaner than expected. But definitely could use a upgrade. Grateful to have a theater in the neighborhood. Large screen not. IMAX I don’t think so. No bike rack As Ice Cube said back in the day. Here’s what they think about you. COVID damage although No mask.
Nice theater with HUUUGE imax screen. Great viewing experience. I deducted one star because the management was quite chaotic when I was there. Many people waiting in line to check in, while several employees were wandering around not doing anything. Eventually we were let in without a check in.
Very unhappy I had two tickets one popcorn and two drinks already paid for online so all the cashier had to do was scan it, and it wouldn’t cost me anything I decided to get two slushy‘s, which would’ve been six something each and the two tickets were paid for and the popcorn was paid for she charged me for the popcorn. I told her I had to check it. She scanned it. It didn’t work, I had to pay the extra money for the popcorn then the manager came and showed her how to do it properly but I already wasted 20 minutes of the movie so I was very upset so instead of $40 for the movie I had to pay about 60 then when I asked for the movie was they kept saying look on your ticket, but there was nothing on my ticket because he gave me a duplicate of the receipt and no moving number so two people wouldn’t help me and then that waste another 15 minutes of the movie This place is very nasty not clean and the lights flicker.
This is the nastiest theater we’ve ever been in. We came to the 4 pm show. Soda and popcorn spilled all over the floor. I can only assume since we are at first showing of the day, it wasn’t cleaned since last night. The theater is hot & smells like dirty feet. We won’t be back!
Old theater, paid $12 for kids to interrupt the movie coming in and out. The thing that was bothersome was they were very nosey and kept putting their phone flashlight on. The theater employees couldn't do anything about it. I go to the movies to enjoy and relax, won't be coming to this location again
