We are third generation and family-owned, serving Central Connecticut residents with compassion and professionalism through our eight locations and crematory. On behalf of my Family and my self, I would like to commend Carmen Funeral home for their professional, caring and kind service. Our father recently passed away, and Nat helped us with all the arrangements, paying attention to every detail. Carmen Funeral home enabled us to give our father a fitting tribute to his life.
Carmon’s is the absolute best!! Frank, Jed and the entire staff are outstanding, passionate, professional and personable. They handle every detail with the utmost care, making a difficult situation seem effortless! Thank you so much.
We had a excellent experience with Carmon funeral home services. Our family felt they did an excellent job in supporting us during the unexpected dark times. Greg and Frank who assisted us was very caring, helpful and professional while making us very comfortable. They went above and beyond to help is very step of the way .I would highly recommend them.
Our daughter passed away before her first birthday. Every one we interacted with at Carmon was exceptionally kind, caring and professional to our family and our daughter. They were gracious. Our entire experience of her life and death was acknowledged, honored, respected. And our daughter was respected, loved and cared for by them. It was comforting to know she was in kind hands. They made the whole process easy, smooth. They recognized the weight of our grief, and limited any additional burden that can occur when working through the logistics after death; paperwork, financials, urns, all simplified. Thank you, Carmon and your gracious staff.
The follow through and communication with this Funeral home was poor. The staff could benefit from some sort of sensitivity training when dealing with difficult family dynamics and better communication amongst everyone. It would benefit families going forward. I had multiple issues and it seems that one side of the family was favored over the other on the whole process which can add to the trauma of already dealing with such a difficult time as is. The staff should deal with families as of it were their own and better communication and follow through is imperative in this businesses.
Carmon Funeral Home was exceptionally wonderful and helpful when dealing with the loss of our loved one. Frank and Amanda in particular were the ones who helped us get through this dark period of time in our family. They were extremely compassionate and understanding and incredibly patient with our needs, wants, and concerns. Carmon Funeral Home took care of our loved one as if they were their own. They made us feel incredibly reassured in the care our loved one was getting. All of our concerns were handled and our ways were respected. Carmon Funeral Home understood our cultural and religious procedures and were indeed patient and thoughtful in how they handled things. We would like to thank Carmon Funeral Home for giving us the closure our family so desperately needed and for treating us and our loved one with such compassion and understanding.
So helpful and caring during a time so tough Me and my fiance lost our daughter 12/10/2019. We contacted Carmon 2 days after and they picked her up from the hospital that day in a timely fashion. I appreciated that when they called, I was told that she's in their care. It made me feel so much at ease. Melissa, Jed, and Frank we're amazing and brought much needed peace to me and my fiance.
I called a couple of other funeral homes in the area and the thing that really resonated with me with Carmon was the loving nature of the staff. From the moment I had my first conversation with Gary, I felt heard and most importantly, he showed a great deal of empathy and care towards my situation, in a genuine way. Gary was prompt in getting me the information I needed, extremely professional, courteous, respectful and accommodating. He even called a couple of times to see how my aunt was doing. Gary was out when my aunt passed away and Jason actually assisted in getting the details in motion and the service in order. Jason was all those things I mentioned about Gary. Jason called me and emailed me until we sorted out the last detail and we were all-set. The office staff was also very sweet and caring. The beauty about it though is that they made an overwhelming situation not feel that way because they know what they are doing. The entire Carmon folks managed all these details with a great deal of respect and attention. This is not the type of situation anyone wants to find themselves in but if I ever need to use a funeral home again Carmon is the place I want to do business with.

The whole Carmon Staff's were excellent in every way. From the time they pick up our mother from our home to the end of the funeral service. They were compassion, courtesy, professional and patient.
