The program has a very inclusive environment with highly diverse students. Teachers are all accesible and want you to learn and grow professionally and personally...furthermore, the career services works hard to help you better your job search process and ensure that you have the ability to find the job you desire and make the professional changes you need. I would highly recommend this program to anyonedinterested in consulting or technology! In a few years when the new school of business opens it will be one of the best and most technology focused campuses in he US and this will only enhance the reputation and learning that students experience here.
The facilities and the professors as well as the staff are phenomenal.
Drawing on Carnegie Mellon's excellence in both arts and sciences, the Tepper School of Business provides a rigorous, analytics-based business education balanced with outstanding coursework in communication, management, and public speaking. Faculty and academic standards are exceptionally high, with a history of excellence--Tepper features the highest number of Nobel laureates of any business school. Bonds within and between the classes are strong, due to small student body size, a unique 4-week orientation program, and many culturally-focused activities in the reinvented, prospering city of Pittsburgh. As a recent alumnus, I eagerly await the new state-of-the-art facility that will break ground in 2015. The $201 million, 295,000 square foot facility will address one of the only current drawbacks of the program: space quantity and quality constraints.
Do you want your school to look like a soulless corporate lobby that could be anywhere? Do you want it to be made of materials so cheap that the place looks grimy less than a year after opening? Then this might be the school for you! Shed your normal human desires for nooks and pleasant spaces and embrace this open-floor plan, fishbowl-style, 2008-era chic tech look. Forget about alternatives for architecture and the world! You belong to this characterless-less corporate world, and will even more after graduating. Although, if there is not yet an Anthropologie or PrAna on the presence, so maybe you'd like to look elsewhere. You can, at least, get a $2:00 bottle of water, for all you suckers.

Tepper School of Business has done a phenomenal job of incorporating student suggestions over the past years to make the academic learning more engaging through Professors who have strong analytical and verbal communication skills, and a MBA class where all the students excelled in their respective fields, and bring that experience to the classroom discussions and assignments. I am a second year student with an engineering background, and I'll admit, a workaholic. But, I must say, Tepper first year core classes has been the most academically demanding years of my life due to the raw brain power of your Professor and peers and speed you must learn the material since the Tepper uses the mini system. With the mini system, its easy to become involved in many extracurricular activities, and stretch yourself thin for academic work, so during the first year, your literally on lockdown mode with limited involvement in...everything. You won't have time because your homework will be hard, very hard. But the benefit is your prepared for many types of problem solving activities and interviews. Many of my classmates interned at the top companies, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Bain, Deloitte, McKinsey, and many more great companies...and startups as well. Theres also plans to build a new business school in the works.
The Operations Research department is pretty good. Other than that, it is pretty much a good business school with dumb business school graduate students around.
I would describe the people who work in the admissions office at the graduate program to be unfriendly. Thats all i can say about it.
A couple of my most difficult classes have been in this building. If you are looking for it, you can find classes with pretty high mathematical rigor.
Architecture is amazing. The food is also really good too!
