Paintings done both from imagination and from things which I have sketched into a sketchbook which I carry with me at most all times. The effort is to catch the essence of that which I see.
My art mediums are oil, acrylics, and watercolors. Oils are fun in that you can blend colors and images for a longer amount of time to achieve exactly the expression of the object which you are creating, due to the longer drying process of the medium. Acrylics are a less troublesome medium with which to deal and the clean-up is far easier than oils. Acrylics has some measure of blending capacity, but far less time in which to attain what you seek to do. Watercolors are very unforgiving. Since they, in essence, stain the paper or surface that you are working with, there is little margin for error. Each of the three mediums presents a different kind of challenge, and all are extremely expressive in their own ways.
I also paint more theme related things, such as Christmas ornaments for trees, and plaques with sayings. Actually, I'll paint on most anything including wood, tin, glass, and other surfaces. In addition to painting, I craft a lot of things which are all unique and one of a kind, so to speak. As this site develops I will post pictures which better describe my endeavors. Know this...when I create something it is full of my heart and love...what better thing to give of one's self than those things?
