Dr. Ron Banik and his expert dental team strive to provide gentle and comfortable dental care in our state-of-the-art office. For those especially fearful patients Dr. Banik and his team are very experienced in sleep or sedation dentistry. Call for more information and to make an appointment.



"Our practice was originally established in 1961 by Dr. Nicolas Jones. Retiring in 1999, Dr. Ron Banik took over for him. Dr. Banik grew up in Charleston, graduating from the College of Charleston. He received his doctorate in dental medicine from the Medical University of SC, and went on to complete an advanced dental residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. After spending a year in Savannah practicing and teaching, he returned to Charleston in 1999 to continue practicing dentistry in his hometown. He continues to attend numerous advanced dental courses each year and is a member of several dental and community organizations. Dr. Banik is a graduate of the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, Washington."

My co- workers highly recommended Dr Banik. This was my first visit as a new patient. My co-workers were correct! Dr Banik and the hygienist Kim were wonderful! Kim did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and she really made me feel comfortable!
Had two extractions which were painless and professionally done. Dental hygienist was excellent and they were very attentive to my comfort level. Discharge and take home instructions were given and a written copy provided. Great experience all around
My tooth filling had a chip out of it and the doctor and his assistant took a total of about 20 minutes to completely fix the filling. His touch with the drill did not have any type of feeling and his procedure was excellent. Of course, I expect excellence from the dentist that I've ben using for 12 years. It is always there!! Keith

I called the office of Carolina Family Dentistry shortly after 9 AM because of a broken molar. I was given a 12:30 PM appointment and sent several electronic forms to complete. I was taken to a treatment room promptly at 12:30. I was X-rayed, orally photographed, and had my records reviewed. After a reasonable wait, I was seen by Dr Banik. He ground down the rough edges of my damaged molar to prevent further injury to my tongue. We discussed treatment options. On leaving I was given a follow-up appointment next week. As a newcomer to the area and a new patient, I am grateful for the prompt and courteous service in an uncomfortable situation.
They always make time and squeeze me in when I have a problem. Doctor Banik takes his time and explains everything throughly. His staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
I love this dentist office, you never have to wait long. They're fast and friendly. I just always feel appreciated and my concerns are always addressed quickly. Very professionall.
