For us, vacationing has become a passion. We have experienced just how a week-long adventure can be relaxing, refreshing and rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul. We strive to encourage people to take theses periodic “escapes” and experience all of these benefits, which will lead to a happier and more fulfilled life. In many people’s lifestyle, the mind and body become overwhelmed with stresses from the daily routines from working, cooking, cleaning, kids school and sport schedules…. the list goes on and on. The human body needs breaks!!!
Exactly how we became so passionate with vacationing and exploring all there is to see is simple. We got married a few years back, and blended our lives with a handful of children (we have 5 total) ranging from 6 to 16 years old. Although we had decent jobs, like many of you we also had significant debts to pay off. Our honeymoon was suspended until we had time to budget and save up for several months after our marriage. Neither of us had done much traveling previously in life, but we somehow knew how important this trip was for each of us. As you can imagine (or have experienced for yourselves), life was busy, hectic, and had the tendency to be stressful with raising the children and having demanding jobs. We didn't yet realize the power of a vacation- that rejuvenating feeling of taking some of that mental and physical downtime for “us”. Sometimes when you have a busy life, we forget to really take care of ourselves. Our honeymoon in Punta Cana was only the beginning of what we found to be missing in our lives, a BREAK! We fell in love with the Caribbean and since then have had subsequent periodic vacations with and without children. We have recently taken a family trip to Orlando (yes, with all 5 kids!) which was absolutely wonderful. We have many more vacations to come, some have already been planned and booked to various destinations and cruises.
