Had left Carotid Endarterectomy surgery, performed by Dr. Ali, along with Dr. Gordon, and spent 24 hours in ICU. From signing in to signing out was treated with care, respect, friendliness, knowledgeable, smiling people. I had two nurses, day nurse was Kirsten and night nurse was Megan. Both were terrific, and I hugged both goodbye, which I have never done before. However, Megan is the one that spent the most time with me only because of the timing of their shifts. Megan was a bright light in a depressing, and scary time for me. She was always cheerful and right there when I needed her. I highly recommend her for the Daisy award!! My family has been going to Carroll Hospital Center since the late 1960's and will continue to do so.
Refuses to call patients back regarding test results, even after calling and requesting them twice. Houses high risk individuals directly next to covid patients. Addresses patients that are screaming due to agonizing pain by shutting the door so they won't be heard instead of checking on them. Third rate staff and care at first rate prices.
Great care by everyone at Carroll Hospital. Everyone was very pleasant and extremely helpful. During my four 4 day stay, they always asked, if they could do anything else for me. I had a very attentive and caring team. A special thank you to Gretchen and Michele.
The emergency staff at Carroll Hospital was the most efficient, professional, caring and considerate in my 95 years and 3 war experience. Every process in admission, treatment, and testing was explained and ultimately the results of each procure. To top that off there is also a follow-up procedure to monitor related ongoing medical issues. I highly recommend Carroll Country Hospital as a preferred medical facility.
My elderly husband had an emergency one morning last week, was taken by ambulance to Carroll Hospital Center, and was treated with excellent care. The emergency nurses, techs, and doctors were all compassionate and kind with him, and within four hours he was placed on the fourth floor south, which deals with surgical and skilled nursing needs. Four South deserves kudos for the superb care he received—kindness, skill, compassion, helpful whenever I visited him—in short, he was in good hands his entire stay. Discharge was easy and relatively quick. Dr. Abbasi was particularly helpful and answered all our questions compassionately and without a hint of hurry. If all future visits are treated this way, I would recommend the emergency department and Four South without hesitation.
Rather rude to my husband who is a disabled veteran. Said that he just wanted pain meds and wasn't actually in pain when it is obvious he has been blown up and had internal prosthetics that are damaged and is awaiting surgery! Left him in immense pain for hours and when he kept telling them how bad he was hurting they told him to stop complaining or they weren't going to give him anything and went so far as to shut the door with the curtain in it so he couldn't even see out! The doctor came in and laid into the nursing staff for their treatment of him and promptly gave him pain meds though.
For me being out of town this is the worst experience that I have had. I had kidney stones bad and I had to be admitted, so I have been here for close to 12 hours, and they kept on tell me that there are no rooms available. I have a Spinal Cord Injury and can not ship in those chairs or even they bed that they have for long periods of time. So I asked for a Dr. and it has been almost an hour and Dr. has not shown up. So I had to leave the hospital a deal with the issue until I get home and see my urologist.
Recently went to the ER on a Sunday morning to have an issue with my toe looked at. The nurse Candice and the PA Jeremy were professional and understanding. Honestly everyone was as nice as can be. I wish they could have found the proper scissors for my issue, but Jeremy came to the rescue with another solution. I want to thank all the staff for their help that day.
10/27/22 @ 5:55PM The female employee checking people in 0 stars was absolutely rude, snide, embarrassing with an obvious lack of compassion…. Working at a hospital!?! She didn’t like my fabric mask, with a logo. She came over to the small waiting area, in front of several other people and loudly said “Mam, I’m going to need you to wear one of our masks, mmk!?!” When I asked why, she informed me that fabric masks were not allowed, as she was walking away. After 10 minutes my friend was called back for examination. About 10 minutes later she came to the small waiting area and loudly said “Mam, I need you to move to the waiting area.” Her tone and volume was extremely embarrassing, as though I should know her rules. I didn’t know there was another waiting area. So I asked her where I should go? She pointed. I would expect hospital employees to be compassionate and private. She was extremely abrasive and rude. She was intentionally embarrassing in front of her audience. The other employees were kind, thorough and professional. The emergency appeared clean. The emergency room was very full. If this review were based on the medical staff and facility I would have given 4 stars.
Went in the ER with severe pain and hours later left with the same pain, no pain medication was prescribed not even Motrin. Registration man sis my registration in the open lobby with others were seated. No privacy was provided had to give my personal information in front of complete strangers! When I was finally taken to a room it was no bed had to sit in a visitors chair the entire time hooked up to an IV gave me morphine with not safety no call button nothing. I could’ve fell and hurt myself as one more
