Carson City Health and Human Services is committed to protecting and improving the quality of life in our community through disease prevention, education and support services.
At our clinic, we offer a variety of services including women's health, family planning, immunizations, well child visits, men's health, birth control, and STD and HIV testing.
The Department also works to help the community be prepared for public health emergencies, coordinates volunteer opportunities (Medical Reserve Corps), conducts health inspections, and investigates disease outbreaks.
Additional services include tobacco cessation counseling and HIV/AIDS support group and case management.
Integrated into the Human Services portion of the Department are workforce development specialists, a WIC counselor, and a variety of social services and assistance programs.
