I have been going to this place almost since they first opened about 40 years ago. Back then we were students with no cellphones or technologies available now. Those books and those helpful staff were all we had to achieve knowledge. When I was getting my masters to become a teacher I used to go there as well. Both of my sons and my daughter went there during high school. This place is a treasure of knowledge and many of us should be thankful for.
im sad because this library is not open yet. when will you guys reopen, you guys are the library thats close to my house. I operate a small business and i dont have a printer yet. i rely on going to the library to print out my shipping labels. since this library is closed. i have to commute all the way to the torrance library just for me to print out my shipping labels.
it's been almost two years and pandemic restrictions are lifted yet they still leave the library closed to the public and offer their mediocre sidewalk service that no one uses. I guarantee you if you were to walk into this building you will see a whole bunch of lazy people starring at a wall. Find a way to open up the library so we can sit down and do our work.
I've been going here ever since I attended the elementary school right beside it. The study rooms, free printers/wifi, books, and friendly librarians have been invaluable to my family and I for over 10 years. It sucks because COVID closed it down and so many people in this city have lost one of the few places where they can be peaceful and productive. I'm in college now, and I honestly need this library more than ever. I don't know if renovations are still going on, or if you guys are just scared of COVID being a problem, but just please bring this place back :
been going here since they opened in 1974. always kind staff and they are most helpful. clean restrooms and comfy chairs. they also have many FREE books and mags they give away. just ask them for a bag to carry.
Come early before 2pm for quite time to study after that the children get out of school and it can get loud at times they have people here I'm not sure if they are volunteers that help the kids out with homework which is pretty cool and they have a good selection of books and magazines.
I avoid this library for the most part--it's the only one in the area that is open on Sundays but they have the most inconvenient, customer UNfriendly policies. Twice I've been burned--once being turned away five minutes before the library closed had to pick up a book on hold for my daughter, and just today having to use the restroom but being told that I couldn't use their facility because the library was closing in five minutes. So basically, this library closes on Sundays at 4:55pm, not 5pm. Really annoying
GOOD place to study, books or computer online. Been going her for MANY years. LIBRARIES ARE STILL VITAL. I see many kids, learning GOOD stuff, sometimes by mentors or tutors.
WiFi not free but get a temp library card to get WiFi... Nice staff too
Was at Tacos Gallito taco truck open 4:00 pm weekdays and Saturday
