Went to the store on Sunday and spent almost 2 hours picking out the perfect Broyhill sectional. Actually picked out the material for both the sectional and the pillows and told the sales woman that we wanted to purchase the sectional. She was great. She spent every second with us, talked us through what might work in our room, etc. We really liked working with her and we were ready to buy the sectional. She told us she "wouldn't sell it to us until we took the swatches home and made sure we absolutely wanted it". After searching for months, we knew we wanted this couch and were ready to purchase it that day and when I told her that, she again refused to sell it to us. I really did not want to have to come back again another day during the week to go through the buying process but she flat out told us she would not sell us the couch so we took the swatches home. I absolutely appreciate not be given the hard selling tactic but we were ready to buy and she refused to sell it to us. On Tuesday, I found a very similar couch at Macy's Furniture Gallery in Schaumburg for $1200 less and bought that. No pressure from the sales person but when I told her I was ready to buy, she was ready to sell it. Carson's needs to do a better job to training their employees that when a customer is ready to buy something, don't refuse their business because chances are, they will lose the sale.
We have had GREAT experiences here before. Today was the total opposite. Went in to buy a particular piece. Had to spend quite a while just hunting down a sales person to help us. Sales person was extremely unhelpful. We decided to leave -- manager at the front door asked if we found what we needed. When I explained what happened and why were leaving without the piece we came for, he just shrugged and looked bored. It was an atmosphere of the employees considering the shopper more of an annoyance than anything else.
Have bought multiple pieces of furniture, from couches, to sideboards, to dressers. Great quality and all at great prices and their delivery is not through a 3rd party so they take care of their stuff. Will definitely go back and have recommended to friends. Request Susan, she is awesome!
Whoever manages this store should be FIRED!!! This has been the worse shopping experience I have ever had. We went to look at dining room sets over a month ago. We spoke to a guy named Christian who was very helpful and nice. He was going to contact the manufacturer to see if they can make a different size table since they customize their furniture. We were supposed to get a phone call 3-5 days later. 7 days later no call. When I called to talk to him the receptionist picks up and simply says he is not in. That's all. I call two days later again and she does the same thing. No questions whether someone else can help me, if there was an order placed or if I need help. So I asked when is he going to be in. She said not for a while. That's it. I asked to speak with someone else. They transferred me to Scott. He just told me the table we want can't be done in our measurements. So we agreed to go back again and look at other options. Therese helps us but tell us we need to come back to talk to Scott. I said I don't want to wait I need a table and Scott was not my salesperson to start with. She decides to write up the request for a quote from manufacturer but tells us Scott will call. Over a week passed again. Not a single phone call. So I call again and asked her where is the quote? She tells me Scott couldn't call because he had to put his dog down yesterday!! What kind of an excuse is that?? Apparently they are more worried about who gets the commission than taking care of the customer. I have news for you guys. I don't care who sells me the table and who gets the commission. Your job is to take care of the customer no matter what. So now you just missed a sale. And I will tell everyone I know not to shop in this store ever. No one will call a customer no one will take care of your order. What a waist of my time. How is this store still in business I don't understand. No wonder there is no cars in the parking lot ever. What a joke.
Going out of business. Thought we'd find a good deal on a mattress set but their sales prices weren't sales. It was an increased price cut in half. We can get a better deal elsewhere.
My wife and I went here looking for bargains and was extremely disappointed. Their so called bankruptcy sell was a joke. It appears that they doubled or tripled the cost of their products and then put the prices out to shock the public. Can see why the company is going bankrupt.
I will never purchase a mattress from Carson's EVER AGAIN!!! The quality is poor and the service is even worse. We spent a significant amount of money and to say we are disappointed is an understatement. Shop somewhere else!!!
Customer service horrible and rude. Spebt over $3000 on mattress and pads +warranty, which they do not honor! Shop anywhere else!!! Mattress has not held up after only 4 yrs.
Customer service was great, sales team was attentive without being intrusive. Prices are reasonable for the quality.
Sad to see Carson's go, but looking at the prices of the furniture they seem very inflated even with markdowns of 50% off at the time I visited.
