The mission of the Carter Memorial Library is:
- To provide services to the members of the Community, the present users and the potential users of the Library.
- To fulfill their educational, informational, and recreational needs with a wide range of media on all subjects likely to be of concern or interest to the members of the community.
- To support and sustain formal and informal education from preschool through graduate school.
- And to maintain and support the democratic principals of our American heritage.
