The Cartilage Repair Center (CRC) is dedicated to the treatment of patients with cartilage damage, ranging from isolated cartilage defects to advanced arthritis.
The CRC is affiliated with Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. The Center is located in nearby Chestnut Hill, in a facility that contains the offices, exam rooms, MRI, X-Ray, CT, and physical therapy.
Our philosophy is to not only repair the cartilage damage itself, but to carefully determine and correct the underlying causes, such as malalignment, ligament instability and loss of meniscal function. This systematic approach has helped us maximize the success rates of our procedures.
Treatment options are selected based upon individual need to match the physical demands of our patients' lifestyles.
We specialize in a wide range of procedures including:
- autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI)
- osteochondral auto- and allograft transplantation
- meniscal transplantation
- osteotomies
- minimally invasive partial and total knee replacement
- ligament reconstruction
The Cartilage Repair Center was established in 1995 and has the largest experience in the US with cartilage repair procedures such as ACI.
