Carver Junk Company has two retail locations:
Minneapolis: Open 7 days a week [except holidays]
Chaska: Open every Thursday - Sunday

We are a proud retailer of Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint and General Finishes paint products, as well as a certified workshop location for Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint.

We do sell items via phone/credit card if you're unable to make it into the store, and schedule convenient times for pickup. All sales are final. We do not hold items without full payment, and we ask that all items are picked up within 5 days of purchase, unless previously arranged. A storage fee of $10 per day will apply for all items not picked up within 5 days, unless previously arranged.

I am super disappointed because I have shopped here so many times and LOVE their stuff. I was in the store and as per usual fell in love, this time with a dresser. I messaged them on Facebook and was promptly responded to with photos and info on the dresser to send to my BF. I was going to go back and look at it with him to make sure he also liked it when he came back from working out of town. They said they would let me know if it sold before then. Unknown to me, my BF decided if I liked it so much he didn’t need to see it, he was going to surprise me with it. He called multiple times with no response and no return phone call. He had also inquired about purchasing the dresser on their website like their phone message suggested. He didn’t hear back all week and when he returned on Friday evening he told me he had tried to surprise me but he hadn’t received any email or call back. Since the shop was already closed for the day, I immediately went back to my Facebook message to tell them we were coming in to purchase it in the morning. I said we would pay online before they opened or in store when we got there. Before we left in the morning I messaged again letting them know we were coming in since they hadn’t responded to my previous message. Unfortunately no response, and when we came in the woman at the counter said the dresser sold already that same morning. When I said that we had been trying to purchase it all week she said something that didn’t make any sense about the owner and sorry. We left and after thinking about it, I messaged Facebook again to find out if it was actually us that had inadvertently been the “purchasers” but hadn’t been contacted yet with the invoice. They read the message and we never heard back at all, from anyone. I have looked back at the message multiple times the last few weeks hoping they would make it right or respond with an apology, still nothing. It’s a real bummer, they have lost a customer in me and the 3 shoppers I brought there with me when I found the dresser.
Such a cute little store! There is truly something for everyone! Adorable clothing for adults and children!, beautiful home decor items created by local artists and a great selection of items for baby/children's gifts! They even host fun DIY events!
I drove out to go to the Holiday Market that they are having today. Never again will I waste my time to visit this store. With businesses losing money during rhe pandemic one would think that they would at least greet you when you walked in the door. They were not that busy. I would think customer service would be number one for a small business!
I ordered a three-piece art set for over $500.00. It was delivered damaged. When I emailed, my repsonse was quick and I was told I would receive a replacement. I have not received a replacement and I have not received any responses to my emails or calls. Please contact me ASAP.

Nice little shop, with some good retro furnishings. Bought some bows for my daughter here, they seemed to have a good selection of somethin' for everyone. Very friendly staff, will go back sometime to shop again with the family.
Love this store so much! The furniture and accessories are amazing. The owners and employees truly enhance the beauty of every piece! They are in a league all their own and I have a feeling we will see much more of CJC in the future!
I purchased three large book shelves in a gray color. Less than a year into owning them the knots in the wood were seeping thorugh causing brown spots 2-4" wide all over the pieces. When I called them in Jan. they did tell me that it would be June until they could get to them. I happily waited. At time of pick up in June, the owner refused come into my home to help me load shelves into trailer. There was NO notice of this what so ever, even though he got very irritated with me saying "I was told." I managed to get all shelves out and helped to load and was told a 2 week lead time to repaint. After 4 weeks, I inquired and was told humidity was an issue. I inquired at 6 weeks and got this FB Message: "Hi Kate, I'm working on them now. I understand and appreciate your patience. I hope you can also understand that I can't put a higher priority on these shelves than the work I had in front of yours. But I am working hard to get them done and looking nice. I had 23 pieces of furniture ahead of yours when I picked them up and honestly, our policy is all sales are final so the fact that I agreed to fix them is not something I typically do. Old, previously owned furniture and how it reacts to new finishes is unpredictable for many reasons which is why we our policy is what it is and why our prices are extremely reasonable. I'll actually be losing money on these when all is said and done and I'm just asking for sensitivity when factoring that in. Also, I've been almost completely shut down for the past three weeks because of the humidity - it compromises the durability of my finishes. And when I am able to work, drying and curing times are more than double. Thanks for your patience. The boxes are done and depending on the weather, the actual shelves should be done early next week." So, just know that they did me a favor, they sell all pieces AS IS, and that in my personal experience, service is something that I should of felt lucky to have gotten. It took over 8 weeks to get them back, I always had to inquire to get an answer and now that I have them back, the finish has a strange texture to it. Overall, it was a poor experience and I won't go back.
Fun and unique home items and refinished furniture at reasonable prices. There is adult and kids' clothing. They also offer classes for DIY decor.
Nice & fun shop. Trendy items but enjoyable. Different assortment & collection but abit pricey. A favorite of many women I know.
