The Castle Cary Museum is located inside the historic Market House, a fine mid-Victorian building in the centre of town. There is a large collection of domestic and agricultural implements, archaeological and historical information and artefacts. The Museum is funded almost entirely by voluntary contributions and staffed by volunteers.
Peaceful quite town if you are passing by well worth a stop for tea and cake and a stretch of you legs.
Lovely little museum. Very good exhibition of wooden carvings by a local artist. Very informative introduction given by "Friends of the museum". Well worth a visit.
We turned up on the opening day of the season on a family tree search and the staff working here could not be more helpful, fantastic place, thank you
Small museum, but very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Never answer the phone and never reply to emails . . .
A wonderful place to wonder around.
Great little museum with lots to see and learn about Castle Cary and the surrounding area. It's only open at specified times so if you visit make sure to check.
