Today was my first time back in a couple decades. The last time I was there my great aunt was in a play. It was fun to be back. Went with a school group and we were seated in the front row. The staff was polite and the theater clean. I had a good experience.
I really enjoyed the musical “The Bat Boy” they put on. It was a first for being there and We got stage side tickets. I will say they were great seats but for this performance we were looking at a lot of back ends. Next time, and there will be a next time, we’ll get tickets for more the front of the stage. The place is old but well kept up. I really like the history of it. The actors/singers did a really great job of this musical which before these tickets I had never known or heard about. Bravo 5 stars for them!
The acting was good, but the building is showing some age to it. I preferred it when the stage was in the center and the stage hands would take the sets down the hallway. I always thought that was an unique edge that Casa Mañana had over other play houses. Crossing my fingers that we will be able to enjoy that set up again one day!
This was my first time this evening and it was a lot of fun. The musical was fantastic and the actors were all super good through the evening. If you are looking for something different to do throughout the year...Casa Manana is the place to see.
Steel Magnolias, Five Stars, beautiful performance, facility and staff! This is my forever home away from home! Parking free, seating magnificent, from the first row to the top row, there is not a bad seat in the house!
I have so many memories of Casa when it was still the Theater in the Round. I have been back a few times since my family moved back to this area. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The theater is clean. The restrooms are clean. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The shows are great! We just saw A Christmas Carol, and it was very professionally done. The singing, acting and presentation was excellent. If you've never been to Casa you are truly missing out.
I will always give Casa Manana 5 Stars!! They always produce amazing plays and musicals. But Here You Come Again, How Dolly Saved My Life in 12 Easy Songs needs work. The actress that played Dolly was AMAZING!!! She was the true shining star of the night. In fairness, the musical is new and they are still tweaking it so maybe it will get better. The problem is the main character is a 40 year old guy living in his parent's attic in 2020 because of COVID. He's an unsympathetic whiner. Sorry Casa but that is just how I saw it.
Saw "A Christmas Carol" with the family today. The employees were friendly and the show and cast themselves were phenomenal! The cast seemed to be enjoying themselves and that energy spread. My only issues were the chairs are a bit tight and I found myself very uncomfortable throughout the show and was distracted by that. The building itself is also showing its age, with things like the sound proof tiles on the back wall falling apart. But other than that, I highly recommend this place! Sidenote: I haven't been to this place since I was a kid, and I remember the stage sitting in the middle of the theater. It would be cool to see them go back to that design one day as it made it feel much more unique!
Casa maňyaňa always puts on a great show and this year was no different. The perfect cast and an awesome performance by all. From the little town girl and Tiny Tim to Scrooge himself. Perfect in every way. Oh and yes my wife had tears in her eyes it was so good
We saw Madagascar & Christmas Carol and both were incredible! But Christmas Carol was just fantastic because Ebenezer Scrooge really stole to show. We loved these experiences & we can’t wait to return for more!
