Description

Casa Morales opened it's doors in 1972. We have been pleased to serve Angelina County for close to forty years. We were saddened to lose our historic building on S. First Street in 2008 to fire. That building had irreplaceable memories that many Lufkinites gladly shared with us after the tragic event. We appreciated every story that was shared by our patrons and passerbyers as well. These stories stretched from way back when Cherry's occupied our location to Iona's Restraunt and of course what was Casa Morales. Well we have sinced reopened and are proud of our new building. We attempted to keep the same layout with a few modern updates. Please come by and visit and share your story of this fabulous location with us. See you soon. Don't forget our Hwy 59 N location just past Winston Ranch.

Traveling back from Galveston and stopped here for lunch. Huge mistake. We arrived about 12:45 and all got the lunch special. One plate had cold rice. The meat in the beef enchilada is something like we’ve never seen before. Male server was rude. We had barely sat down and he slung the chip basket and salsa bowls down, like down in a hurry. We asked for soft flour and corn tortillas and he brought three of each 4 people, and they give you cold squeeze butter, so your tortilla doesn’t stay hot. Anyway, nothing great to say about this place, in the reviews people bragged on the salsa, it was a miss also!!! We aren’t going back.
Great food! Authentic food to!! Salsa is amazing just right amount of spicy for those who love great spicy salsa and can get your mouth hot after a dozen chips or so! Staff is fast and sanitary during this pandemic! This place is popular and looks like a good hangout spot!
Last time to eat here. Food and service sucked. Quesadillasbeef plate tasted like tough, boiled, bland squirrel and had barely any meat. The old man server was rude like always and food is insanely overpriced. There are way better options around Lufkin. Our entire party agreed that Morales sucks and won't be back.
Food was amazing, although pricey for this type of mexican food. Service was not. It was horrible. None of the staff was friendly. Felt like they didnt want us there.Food: 5/5
BEST place in Lufkin to eat. If I had to choose my last meal it would be from here. Everybody that works here is great and I will always support.
I've been coming here for 30+ years. And unfortunately, did to where I lived and worked, not very regularly. But, they have the BEST customer service I've ever experienced! They remember my order...every time! Amazing! And...the best crunchy tacos ever. IMO.
Umm well what can I say it was very very expensive. Insane and then the man asked my dad if he was gonna give a tip very tacky. The plate I got was cold food, so was everyone else’s plate. It’ll be my last time I go to that place. I’ve eat better in much better places. They also lack in flavor.. the staff was nice. Food sucked!
Absolutely wonderful food, friendly staff, and quick service. Will definitely be coming back when traveling through Lufkin. I would give Casa Morales more stars if I could.
I dislike giving away gems but these guys deserve it. Their service and food is outstanding. It’s our favorite Mexican restaurant in Lufkin.
Service was outstanding but the food is not what I remembered from the last time I ate there about 10 years ago. Unfortunately it is not my first choice for Mexican Food, but it will do in a pinch.Food: 3/5
