Little gem! So happy we heard about this place from tons of fellow foodies. The birria tacos are amazing! Place is clean and staff is super friendly! We will be back to try more!
Everything on their menu looks delicious, but what keeps me coming back everytime are the tlayudas! They're one of the only places in the area that serves them, and they do it so well. Everything is full of flavor, and you can tell the ingredients are high quality. If you love Mexican cuisine, this restaurant is a go-to spot! Can't wait to try everything they have!
Ordered with Uber Eats and spent too much $. Asked for extra salsa w my meals & the $7 cheese dip. They gave me ZERO salsa. The beans, cheese dip, and guacamole all have a strange taste that I'm not fond of.
This restaurant has traditional American style Mexican food as well as traditional Mexican dishes. Good prices and good portion sizes. I am gluten free intolerant and ate here without getting sick. If you're having trouble finding it, it's right behind Sonic ;
If you want legit southern Mexican food this is the place!! No other restaurants provide delicious Mole and Tlayudas regional to what Oaxaca is known for!...BTW happy hour is the cheapest here and they don't water down the alcohol!!..guaranteed to have leftovers and I'm 5'9 220 pounds!!
Service-wise, the experience ran smoothly. Food wise, better than others in the area but not quite the quality and authenticity I was expecting. My meal came out several minutes after all others total of 3 in my party and was tepid upon serving. Ordered a chorizo sopes, only to be served an overcooked stale tortilla topped with a mountain of sour cream and very little burnt chorizo. My meal was tasty Pollo Chipotle despite all else. The salsas provided were the right amount of spice and the prices set were within reason. Think there's definitely room for improvement. There's potential here given the more traditional menu items. I may return.
Absolutely great. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. From the chips and salsa to the hand made tortillas to the awesome fajitas. The beans needed a little salt, would be the only thing not perfect. The beer on tap was great as well. You can tell the taps are clean. The decor is kind of like a cafeteria, but the food and service go past that.
The service was very good. We had a young lady that was helping us and we had about 20 people total. She worked hard, but did a good job. The food was ok--nobody complained about anything, but I have had better Mex food at other establishments. I would go back, if someone wanted to meet there. The chips and salsa were good. Several people in our party got margaritas and strawberry daiquiris. The daiquiris were a big hit. A couple of people ordered more because they were so good. The margaritas... I very seldom hear my wife complain about drinks, but she said she would never order the margarita again. No one ordered a second one. All of the people that got a margarita were in agreement, no one liked them. Kid-friendliness: We had several in our party. They sat at another table and the wait staff did a great job with them.
These people know what they are doing! My first bite of the rice told me we were in for a treat, it wqs surprisingly creamy and flavorful. I got probably the most basic dish, a beef burrito with rice and beans, but it was pure pleasure and quite filling. My mom relished her taco salad and I kept nabbing pieces of the taco shell; it was so flaky and crispy. My cousin said he had never liked peppers before but his quesadilla really won him over. We all loved the refreshing cilantro salsa as well. Friendly, timely service and a lovely venue. Altogether we enjoyed our visit very much and it hit the spot on our way back from the beach. We said we should take this route every year just to stop for lunch at Casa Oaxaca!
Busy Friday night for this restaurant with only one waitress. Started with a small order of guacamole that obviously had been made fresh for our order. My husband had the fajita steak salad, and I ordered tacos al pastor that were fabulous. Great pork flavor with fresh, house-made tortillas. I think I had the better meal. Can’t go wrong when you pair this with an inexpensive Dos Equis Amber. We will be back soon.
