Inside these adobe walls you'll connect to New Mexico's Spanish Colonial past through room exhibits without glass. Spanish Colonial furniture, authentic handwoven floor coverings, hand forged iron tools, an authentic loom made in the late 1700s, as well as early farm tools help to tell the story of a time when New Mexico was a far flung settlement of Colonial Spain. On the State Register of cultural properties, Casa San Ysidro is one of New Mexico's unique treasures, giving visitors an unequalled opportunity to experience everyday life in New Mexico during the 19th century.
