Lourdes Maria Casanova is the attorney and owner of Casanova Law, P.A. Lourdes founded the firm to further her dream of serving her community through personalized legal services. Lourdes is dedicated to providing quality, individualized representation for each and every client in the areas of Criminal Defense, DUI, Traffic Tickets, and Immigration.
Lourdes began her legal career as a prosecutor at the Palm Beach State Attorney’s Office. In her two and a half years as an Assistant State Attorney, Lourdes litigated hundreds of cases, including domestic violence, burglary, DUI, and numerous other crimes. She conducted over 40 trials during her time at the State Attorney’s Office.
Lourdes went on to work for a prominent Personal Injury firm in Coral Gables, Florida and later returned to Palm Beach County as a Criminal Defense and Immigration associate for a local firm. Lourdes gained experience in immigration issues concerning deportation, inadmissibility, visas, and the appellate process. Lourdes also refined her skills in Criminal Law that she originally acquired as a prosecutor.
Lourdes is a proud Florida Gator, having obtained both her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor Degrees from the University of Florida. She graduated Cum Laude both times. Lourdes majored in English and Spanish, and also learned Portuguese during her undergraduate studies. As a law student, Lourdes completed internships involving both civil and criminal law, ranging from the Office of Statewide Prosecution at the Attorney General’s Office to prominent personal injury firms.
