I went to Cascade Eye Center for the first time today and was very impressed. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with an odd eye issue, and at this visit I got more information and suggestions for what I could do for it than at the initial diagnosis with a different eye center. The doctor I saw was very personable, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Cascade Eye Center treated me with remarkable kindness.
I used to go Cacade Eye Center for a couple of years and then stopped going once I got LASIK. This past summer I started having some eye issues and went to make an appointment. I checked to make sure they accepted my new Blue Cross/Blue Shield and according to the website, they did. I waited a couple of weeks for my appointment and when I showed up and start filling out my paperwork they suddenly inform me they don't accept my insurance! What a waist of time!
This organization is horrible to work with. We have had multiple issues with the front desk team not following through as agreed and answering/returning calls in an efficient manner. My last straw just broke where I got print outs of our prescriptions where we will never do business here again. We followed our doctor here and are sad to leave him, but the team upfront makes it incredibly frustrating and wastes my time. By goofing up my latest request, I am now in a position of taking a two week international trip without any extra contacts!
The service was so poor that I will never go back......and never recommend them. The lack of customer service starts with the front desk staff. Boy, do they have a nasty attitude. Human beings seem to be an intrusion into their work life. The staff that dilates and tests the eyes do not want to communicate at all with the patient. And never ask them a question!!! The ophthalmologist does his work but did not give any information about my eyes and I have several problems. I was not impressed. One month prior to appointment, I mailed the front desk all my information with insurance numbers and permission to obtain medical records from prior ophthalmologist. The front desk never got the information faxed over until I stated that I had given all medical information and permission to obtain information. Finally the woman who was testing my eyes went to front desk and spoke with them. Within minutes the information was faxed over. Too much money for lousy customer service
As with many of the other reviewers, I was given horrible service from the front desk and never received a call back when I tried to order contacts; tried 3 times. Doctors were ok though.
Very disappointed with Cascade Eye Center. Went in to have some new seeing eye glasses made. I decided to bring my own frames in as I had an extra pair of nice sun glass frames that I wanted normal lenses in. I liked how they fit my face and the style was beautiful These sun glass frames were a $150 birthday gift from a friend. About a week after leaving them my frames and placing the order, which was $200 on top of the $150 frames, I received a call from a technician telling me that the lab had accidentally snapped my frames. I was told they would refund me the $200 for the lenses but they didn't offer to give me a free set of frames even a $75 sun glass frame would have been nice. I agreed to the refund of $200. 3 days later I get another call from the same technician saying that they had messed up and that they could not refund me the $200 because the lenses were already made when they snapped my frames, but that I could come in and select a new pair of frames from the 'Value' board. I was wary but agreed to at least come and check them out. The Value board had nothing I wanted on it. The glasses were not the style that I had brought in and they were all cheaply made. None were worth more than $75. However, I did see a pair of sunglasses in a case that looked just like the frames I brought them that cost $81. I said I was willing to pay for the extra $6 in order to send in the sunglasses even though I shouldn't have had to do that. They said I could only order from their value board or pay full price for their sunglasses! Stingy company, already over priced. I could have ordered a much nicer pair from an online company for half the price with a much nicer style if I had known that this was how they treat customers whom they let down. I will never be a customer here again, and I will never recommend Cascade Eye Center to anyone who is looking.
The reason I’m giving the review two stars instead of one is because the optometrist herself, Dr. Hartman, was incredibly nice, along with her technician I saw right before her and the guy helping me pick out my glasses at the end. However, the blonde receptionist whose name I didn’t get was very rude to me. I got to my appointment 35 minutes early and since we’re in a pandemic, I called from my car to ask if I can come in early. The answer was no, there was too many people in the lobby. So I politely waited in my car until I got the call that it’s okay to come in. I received no call back, so I called a minute before my appt time and 3 times after that and each time the call went straight to voicemail. Finally someone answered 5 after and she continued to lecture me that I was late and still had to fill out paperwork even though I told her I had been there waiting and tried calling multiple times. I also told her I already filled out the paperwork and faxed it to them. She didn’t believe me and made me re fill everything out. I turned in my paper work and they didn’t even call me back for another 5 minutes. That whole first experience was unpleasant, besides getting the exam. Another disappointment was their lack of frame options. They hardly had any to choose from. With 10% off and only purchasing one set of glasses and an addition pair of lenses for my current glasses, the totally ended up being $853.50. THIS WAS WITH THE 10% OFF.
Awful customer service, lady I spoke with was curt and extremely unhelpful. I broke my glasses and needed to get a new eye exam, set an appointment up for March 9th, show up and I'm told it's not until the 30th. Apparently "next Monday" is really "a month from now, but we're not going to tell you". Also, their web appointment is ignored on their website. Don't try to set up an appointment that way, because they don't seem to pay attention to it.
Was greeted right away, waiting for my appointment started looking for frames and was again helped right away. My appointment went very smoothly the eye tech was very nice as was the eye doctor. I was very impressed with all the help and service I received will refer others there and will definitely return to this eye clinic. Thank you all for being so caring and helpful.
The optometrist rushed through the exam, I am doubtful it was accurate. The last time I went to the optometrist somewhere else, they took their time and seemed to care about the accuracy of my prescription. This optometrist even talked fast. He rushed as through he had 20 other patients to get to. I feel if the service of the optometrist was not good. A comparison of my last eye exam about two years ago and this one are quite different so I have a suspicion the accuracy is not there. I would expect there to be differences, but the earlier one has a Cylinder of -.75 and axis of 055 and the new one has Cylinder of DS and no axis for the same eye. I'm not an optometrist, but this seems odd. I will compare my next exam to this one since I did it so close to the end of the year and see if the exam accuracy was an issue. This was a 12/07/2018 exam date and my insurance renews after the first. I will post again after that.
