I got in late and was only able to experience the hotel. I was not impressed. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but the refrigerator wasn’t on and had to be activated by a separate light switch. Very inconvenient if you have something you want to keep cold or cool down quickly. The bathroom was weird. Would probably be nice for a couple but not good if you’re rooming with someone from work. The one wall of the shower is basically see through into the room like a shadow wall. The outlets in are in the lamp next to the bed and unknown to me was the fact that the outlet was worn just enough to look like my phone was charging when I plugged in only to stop charging the second I let my hand off the plug. There was breakfast but it wasn’t included in the room rate so I skipped that as well. They did have good parking and the rooms were nice other than the bathroom, worn out outlet and refrigerator. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I was there to gamble.
Very disappointing stay. Checked on Sunday afternoon posters in elevator stating how great buffet is, went to get dinner about 5:45 pm and it was closed! A casino buffet closed at 5pm!! Nothing else to eat unless you want to pay $15 for something microwaved in "cafe". Wallpaper in room peeling away, halways smelled musty. Breakfast in "cafe" was cold and barely edible. NOT worth the travel and cost. WILL NOT BE BACK.
They have a great buffet. They have a wide variety of food to choose from and so many desserts to feed any sweet tooth! Great slot machines where we won some take home money. Wonderful customer service from the guest services.
Great hotel. The rooms are better than most places we stay between Iowa and New York. We had the best Cobb salad ever at the Blue Cafe. We enjoyed the casino penny machine options and left money ahead. We look forward to staying there again
Had fun. No smoking facility. Love it!!! Ate at the little cafe. Person could have been friendlier. Guys at the front were cherry and inviting. The lady in the cafe could learn from them. My favorite casino in the QCA
Buffet was sad for a price 30.00 meal. Prime rib overcook, Soup was disgusting coagulated half cooked prefab mess . The chicken was overcooked, the serve staffnot wait staff was overstressed and undermanned- It was ridiculous. I felt sorry for them. Half of the food items offered were empty or dried out and often mislabeled. I was a waiter at one time so I can give them a break but come on Bally's get your act together. One thing positive to say they finally added so low sugar desert options which should have been present from the get go considering they clientele often were older and likely more often than not have dietary concerns including diabetes. This is why they got a two star and not a one.
Had to come from Southern Indiana unexpectedly for my ailing dad. Last minute reservation, vehicle broke down on the way, had to change reservation to next day since wasn't making it the intended day. Reservation ladies were fantastic in handling all the chaos. Kudos to them! Very bummed that the buffet isn't open during the week. Still from covid issues One of the highlights that was missed.
First time there I thought it would be a little loud since it has a major casino in it as well but was surprised how quiet it was in the rooms, does have room for truck parking but could have a number to call front desk for truck drivers to call and and maybe send a valet golf cart driver to pick the driver up, it is a bit of a walk for truck drivers. No complaints just a suggestion. Thx.
This is a review of the restaurant buffet.three out of the last 4 weeks there's been shortage of prime rib which is one of the main featured items. I came this week for the brunch. did breakfast entrees are out of waffles pancakes in edibleService: 4/5
Hotel was ok. The casino itself not so much. The restaurant was closed for the time we stayed there. The buffet was open only limited time, so we had to drive to the city to get dinner. Will not consider going back again. We were stopped every time by security going to the casino from the hotel to check our coffee cups. There is nothing around the casino area to get or to take in to the cassino, but apparently it is a big deal in case you have a coffee cup from someplace else. Not recommended.
