Just moved to the area and have gone to both liquor stores in the area. This one is certainly by far the best. A great and knowledgeable staff who are always willing to help. The prices are great and will keep me off of I-25 traffic looking for more. I enjoy the convenience of shopping in the neighborhood.
I have been shopping with Wine and Spirits for years. It is a family operated business with friendly, outstanding service. Nice to be greeted warmly when I go by. They have always responded to my beer needs. Keep the Rebel IPA comin'!!! CDH
Over break I wanted to celebrate new years with my friends who were back from university. We were going to get together, watch the countdown, have a few brews, perhaps steal the declaration of independence, typical things. However we didn't have any brews - which is where this liquor store came in clutch. We got a few shooters here and a 24 pack of beer, and thus our new year's was saved.
Gordon is professional, upbeat and helpful. Visiting this liquor store is always fun. Great selection, great prices, great service.
I went in to buy some wine with my friend from out of town was with me. We get to the front of the line and she asks for my ID so I gave it to her. She looks at my friend and says "is she with you" I thought she meant was she getting anything as well so I said "yeah but she isn't buying anything." she says "it doesn't matter." I just moved to Colorado from another state so out of curiosity I asked her "if I bring in my 17 year old with me after work to pick up some wine will I be turned down since she isn't old enough to drink" she must have been having a bad day or something because she took my innocent question as a personal attack or something. And started going off. "well she isn't going to be drinking." I didn't say this out loud because she was clearly off her rocker but I was thinking to myself "my friends parents growing up let them drink at home because they said they would rather them drink in front of them instead of sneaking it so I do know for a fact some parents let their 17year old drink. So she didn't help answer my question. But instead yelled at me and made my friend really uncomfortable. She doest drink ever. Like she has been sober for 10 years and just doesn't drink. So she is scrambling for her Id because she just arrived from the airport and she says "are we gonna have a problem?" I said "what?" I was genuinely confused as to why she was being so hostile, I just wanted to know the rules so I don't get turned down when I come back, not that I am now. She leaves us to help other customers and when my friend finally finds her id she goes "good job!" needless to say I will be going out of my way to NEVER go back to that store. If someone from wine and spirits is reading this, I came in on Saturday the 16th around 4ish. She is middle aged, maybe a little older and she has blonde hair. This lady is going to loose you a lot of customers I for sure know my family and friends will not be coming back.
Always friendly staff. Very helpful. Good selection and pricing better than most. The person that wrote the 1 Star review seems a little bitter, just saying.
Sign on door says they open at 9 am. Watched them unlock door for ice vendor at 9:05 and then immediately re-lock door. At 9:10....door is still locked. I guess I'll go somewhere else that is prepared to accept my money at posted open time, like True Liquor just blocks away.
