As an active participant in Castleton University’s stated mission, the athletic department will contribute to furthering the school’s mission through varsity, club, recreational and intramural activities. It is through these avenues that the Castleton Athletic Department will reinforce the school mission of academic and personal growth by emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and physical well-being.The Castleton Athletic Department will look to continuously provide dedicated employees who are committed to motivating and educating their student-athletes. The Castleton Athletic Department will provide students and coaches with a safe environment to embrace and promote diversity, equity; and to develop and maintain high ethical standards. The department will implement community service involvement and provide open communication among our student-athletes, staff, and surrounding communities.
