Couldn’t recommend a better stable! I helped out around the barn in return for leasing this beautiful guy. Kevin quickly felt like family to me, and everyone out there was so kind and welcoming! You can tell that the horses and other animals are their top priority, and get the best care!
This is an amazing barn! My daughter is gaining confidence and life-long skills. They have several instructors and every horse is amazing. They will rotate who your child rides to build the skills they need. My daughter has some special needs and both the instructors and horses have worked with her at her level going at her pace. Bringing siblings? I had all three of mine at riding at one time or if riding's not for them they have a giant pirate ship to keep them busy or pitching lessons available as well. This barn is not a show barn but a riding barn where the focus is on the rider and what they need. I've ridden their private trails and they are great for adults who want to take a ride as well. This is a family atmosphere where the owners live on-site and actually care about the growth your child makes. They also have extremely fair pricing for riding, leasing, and boarding. I can't say enough about this amazing barn! We had her birthday party at the barn and love to bring friends!
Such an amazing experience. Parent N Me sessions are well worth the money. A lot of fun. Very laid back. Little wait times and so many things to do.
Beautiful property and animals. Went for the weekend ride and pet the animals. Daughter had a wonderful time. Staff very professional and all the animals were very friendly. Highly recommend.
I took my 4 year old soon to be 5 granddaughter as a surprise. She absolutely LOVED the entire experience especially riding Einstein the ZEBRA. All of the animals were such sweet creatures and the Pony is so adorable. My granddaughter was able to walk him around the ring and ride him. Plus there is a small petting zoo and children's play area. The entire staff were very nice and very knowledgeable. I will DEFINITELY be bringing her back!
If the kids are into animals they will have the time of their life...I almost didn't want to leave a review because I wanted to keep this hidden gem hidden. Signed up for a parent and me session and they completely exceeded my expectations. The staff is wonderful, the horses are well cared for and was a great experience all around. Highly recommend Castlewood stables for equestrian fun. Did I mention reasonable rates? You can tell that they love their animals and what they do.Thank you to Steve and company for making such great memories for the kiddos.
We attended the parent and me pony rides for our daughters 2nd birthday - we had a BLAST. The animals are truly amazing and riding the horses was such a pleasant experience. Kevin and his family, along with the volunteers were all so friendly, kind, helpful, and gave incredible direction to everyone - they made the kids feel so confident and comfortable with whatever task they were doing!
Wonderful. We had a blast. 2 hours of pure fun for $20. Pony rides, horse, zebra rides. Groomed rabbits, turtle, goat, horses..wow.
My 2.5 year old son had a blast. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The Parent and Me class was an amazing experience! I have been looking for 3 weeks for a place for my son 4.5y to ride and I happened upon this and signed right up. Great Staff/Family, very welcoming and friendly, awesome with the animals. Lots of animals to interact with and the horse riding is fantastic. My son was on cloud nine the whole time. I highly recommend and we will be back! Thanks for an amazing time.
