Extremely rude receptionist. Not understanding or helpful at all. I believe her name was Mary. She left a voicemail and said "please do not hesitate to call back" but as soon as I did she told me she already left me a voicemail and did not want anything to do with me.
Dr maracic is wonderful. Very expert, kind and personable. Takes into consideration my thoughts on treatment . He's an osteoporosis expert and explains in detail many things. The office is immaculate and i appreciate it is still vigilant about covid. Highly recommend.
The new patient coordinator, Mary, is simply horrible! She was nasty, rude and hung up on me twice without allowing me to speak! What is going on with the medical community! Why would a reputable establishment employ such an insensitive and nasty individual to care for their patients? This woman has no clue what she is speaking about and should be TERMINATED! I will be reporting this practice as I should have when Dr. Walsh was on staff!
Saw this place over 10 years ago when I literally had no symptoms of anything but they wanted to continue to stick me on unnecessary medication at a young age. Was recently referred back to a new doctor there because of some blood work results that came back and was told I can’t see any one else other than the doctor that I originally had that only wanted to put me on medication for absolutely nothing. It was over 10 years ago!! And even still if I decide to go back to the doctor that I didn’t like he has to approve me. Makes absolutely no sense. And the receptionist was EXTREMELY rude.
I spent this morning driving across Tucson, because my Husband was referred to a Catalina Pointe. We were told to bring in his records from other doctors and sign a release when we get there. The 3 receptionist ignored us then one said can I help you. We gave them the info on the phone Thursday prior. Dr. Maricic didn't even look at his records. After I paid to have them all copied and drove across town 28 miles, it took 5 minutes for him to refuse to except my Husband as a patient. That is unacceptable. Dr Butler recommended us to this facility along with our PC. I plan on telling our PC and Dr Butler about how we were treated. I highly don't recommend this place for anyone who has seen any doctors prior, because they won't take you as a new patient. Lisa Hampton Tim Hampton
Dr. Power is an amazing pediatric rheumatologist. Although we are limited for in town docs with this specialty, I don’t feel slighted in the least. Dr. Power makes us feel taken care of, talks at lengths with us about our concerns, and goes out of her way to accommodate her very busy schedule. Even the frequent, random interruptions by our kiddo she takes seriously and stops to listen what they have to say. My only wish is Catalina Pointe was covered at a higher level by Blue Cross, but it is worth it. I highly recommend Dr. Power and her team. Her medical assistants and nurses are fantastic as well.
This is my third rheumatologist in 3 years. I find Dr. Tesfamichael incredibly smart and compassionate. I have gone from a using a walker and other assisting devices to becoming more mobile. I am so glad I found her!!
I was referred by my PCP. Unfortunately the new patient coordinator is incredibly rude. She stated she left me a voice-mail but I never got a voicemail from her. She told me they don't take my secondary insurance only my primary insurance and can't take me as a patient because it's their policy to bill for secondary insurance and they don't take it. When I suggested it would have been nice to know this 3 weeks ago the new patient coordinator told me it was my fault because I only told her about the primary insurance. I am able to use my primary insurance at other places without billing my secondary and then just pay the balance. Their policy is to bill both but they are not contacted with my secondary insurance. Ok fine. Still the new patient coordinator was argumentative, condescending, and kept talking over me. She did not demonstrate any effective interpersonal communication skills. This is to bad because I have heard good things about the doctors there. The rudeness was not necessary.
I received the best care Arizona has to offer here at Catalina Point Rheumatology, at the time Dr. SABINA MIAN was my doctor. She was amazing very knowledgeable and communicated that knowledge to me. She is a true example of what a true doctor is. I believe she honored her oath as a doctor. The entire office was very professional. Having a lab in the office was super convenient so I was able to get everything done all at once. I have not found another place that is comparable to the kind of care I received here. Truly, this is as good as it gets !! Any one who is fortunate to have Catalina Point Rheumatology as their specialized care provider is very fortunate.
I was not happy with my current rheumatologist and was referred to this clinic 3 months ago. I have called 6-7 times in the past months to get an appointment and the new patient coordinator has never bothered to call back. Apparently they have no interest in new patients.
