I would not recommend Catherine's Florist to anyone! I ordered the pink tribute spray when my Aunt passed away for $92.00 and I was embarrassed, shocked and disappointed when I saw what Catherine's put together. The arrangement literally had only 12 carnations which I personally counted and what looked like christmas tree clippings. It looked cheap and put together at the last minute. I understand that its a busy time of year and I'm sure they were swamped with orders but I still expect to get what I paid for especially when a person passes away. When they were contacted regarding the arrangement they basically implied that I lied. They insisted that they used more than 12 carnations, they claimed to have used other smaller flowers to fill out the arrangement - as sad as it sounds I wish I had taken a picture. They claimed that they didn't have the correct pink flowers to put the arrangement together however they had several days to order the flowers that were needed. I placed the order on a Tuesday and didn't want the flowers delivered until Friday. They refused to offer anything in attempt to rectify the situation. They obviously don't care about keeping customers.
The folks at Catherine's did a great job with our wedding flowers. We did classic red roses and cala lilies. The bouquets were beautiful, although a little smaller than I remember discussing. They also added on two arrangements for the ceremony with little notice. The delivery was there on time, and with everything we order. Thanks for the stellar job!
Ms. Turek's characterization of her experience is not consistent with ours. Her order was placed by her with Bel Air Florist which in turn wired it to us. We did receive the order by wire on 12/17 for delivery 12/20-- $88.95 for the spray and $9 delivery. We responded to Bel Air Florist the same day indicating we would not have all the flowers in the recipe but would do a nice job of mixed flowers in shades of pink-- which Bel Air Florist ok'd. We were not notified by Bel Air Florist until 12/23-- after the funeral services were over and the flowers discarded-- that there was any issue with the spray. We responded to Bel Air Florist that "Spray had 18 pink carns, several stems of pink minis, 3 stems pink matsomotos asters, and a few pink sweetheart roses. Absolutely was filled to value, if not over. Also had script Aunt as requested." Bel Air Florist indicated the customer was out of town until 12/27. We are deeply committed to high quality customer service as job #1 and we are sorry that Ms. Turek was disappointed.
Where to begin. I made a purchase on Monday had to call in today to change address of where flowers where to be deliver which would have been an extra $1 for said change, however, due to the company's "system" they had to charge me for a whole new order plus the $1, bc apparently that's how their system works. Now my account reflects 2 purchases and I have to do a follow up claim with my bank or wait till Monday...when they could have just made a bill for $1 for the change? Let's say I didn't have more than that extra $1 on my account or you know I needed that extra money that they took out for a "new" order my bank would of charged me a overdraft fee or I would be out of extra V-day money, because the attendants at this florist store couldn't figure out how to create a bill for $1? The person I spoke to on the phone dismissed my concerns and simply stated that they were very busy and the best they could do was cancel my entire order and I could pay it with a different card?! and wait till my bank refunded my purchase? yeah...i would of paid for the same item three times. These flowers better be worth it, even though given the person who I spoke on the phone attitude of "we are very busy and can't look into it" he said that I am now worried.
