Thank you for your interest in Catonsville Cooperative Market. Catonsville Cooperative Market (CCM) is a member-owned food cooperative (coop) based in Catonsville, Maryland. CCM’s owners are made up of community members in Catonsville, Ellicott City, Linthicum, Arbutus, and the Baltimore City region who share a common vision of opening a storefront grocery. The store would feature local, healthy, and organic options at affordable prices. We hope to create a community center which is not only a place to shop for groceries, but is a place to receive education, share information, and to gather with other community members.
While we continue to strive towards opening a brick-and-mortar market, we are meeting the current shopping needs of member owners. The CCM Buying Club offers wholesale prices from vendors such as: Frontier, Atwater’s, HEX Ferments, Trickling Springs Creamery, Calvert Farm, S & S Maple Syrup, Grand View Meat Farm, Sea to Table, Thread Coffee, etc. Bi-weekly pick-ups for our Buying Club are held at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 1905 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville.
Obtaining members is a key element in growth towards a storefront. Membership fees build capital and show investors that there is a cooperative interest in the community. CCM currently offers three options for membership:
A one time payment of $200. per household gives your family Founding Membership status, full voting privileges, and access to our Buying Club.
A quarterly payment plan is available. $50. per household with three more payments of $50. to be completed within 12months. All payment plans will have full access to the Buying Club. Upon completion of payments, Founding Membership status and full voting privileges will be given.
Sweat Equity Members pay $25. + 15hrs. of work for the Coop to be completed within 12months. Immediate access to Buying Club is granted with full membership privileges given upon completion of hours.
