Clinical pharmacy services have been shown to improve patient outcomes. The goal of my services is to help providers see more new and complex patients and improve patient outcomes, while helping them increase their revenue by focusing on meeting or exceeding quality measures. I believe that I can help provider practices succeed under new value-based payment models.
Clinical pharmacy consultants can also help pharmacies improve their star ratings, performance measures, and revenue. Star ratings and performance measures affect Medicare Part D patients reimbursement for drugs and services. Expanding the services provided in the pharmacy, as well as increasing the use of services already provided, can increase patient satisfaction, pharmacist and staff job satisfaction, star ratings, performance measures, and revenue.
My interests lie in pharmacogenomic (PGx) testing, medication therapy management (MTM), chronic care management (CCM), transitional care management (TCM), diabetes management/education, anticoagulation management, and patient counseling, among others. Empowering patients to improve their health and working together as a team with patients/caregivers, providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care professionals, are critical to my services.
