Like most college campuses that I’ve been on both community & state which have dedicated science buildings, the building itself it quite old so restrooms come in odd shapes and sizes this one is a bit short and small for stalls and stairs are your friend. Finally back for in person lectures today and the lecture room I was in SCIE 300 has a small amphitheatre lecture hall type feel, which was fine for me. Labs are the classic layout with some bumps, bruises and scars are decades past. Still functional for their purpose and anyone taking a science course in this building will only need to eagerness to learn and communicate with their fellow peers to do well in either setting.
Not really sure how to rate a building, but this is my observation. The Science building is on top of the hill facing Phelan Avenue. It has four stories, including the basement. It's an older building with nice exterior aesthetics like very tall concrete columns and heavy metal doors and windows, unlike modern buildings. The classrooms have a lot of dark woodwork and linoleum floors like you see in the 60s. The bathrooms have green tiles. The building has been updated for wheelchair access by means of ramps and automatic open doors. There is an internal elevator.
