As a former employee for multiple years, I've always enjoyed the environment and most all of the people that I worked with. The store always had a great selection of video games and movies to choose from and the prices were always some of, if not the best in town. Still happily a customer to this day and hope there will always be a place for stores like these.
I was visiting the Wichita area with 2 other people and wanted to check out this store’s used CD, DVD, and video game selection. While shopping, I found a used copy of Dark Souls III – the Fire Fades edition for PS4. The game had 2 price stickers on it, one had the price at $13.99 on the back and front the sticker partially covering it had the price at $18.99. I also picked up a DVD, Time Bandits, and another PS4 game, Lords of the Fallen. At the register, the cashier rang up the Dark Souls III game as $18.99 and removed the price stickers from the game, but left the price stickers on the Lords of the Fallen game and the Time Bandits DVD after purchasing but I did not notice this until I was home the next day. I reached out via email to CD Tradepost to notify them of this issue and request a refund of the $6 I was overcharged, as I could not return to the store as I live in another state. The CEO of CD Tradepost responded to my email; he stated that $18.99 is the correct price for the Dark Souls III game as the price had increased from $13.99 in December 2022. He would not refund the $6 but he offered store credit, which is not useful to me as I do not live in the area. I replied to his email, explaining that store credit is not acceptable to me, but he never replied back. I would not recommend shopping at CD Tradepost as they use bait and switch techniques to overcharge customers, and when they are called out on it they ignore you. $6 might be not be much, I understand though the way some people look at it. Honesty goes long way in business. get charged for more, you get a store credit even if you get overcharged. So, be real weary of store credit/exchange stores. Tip: use a credit card only, if overcharged, do a charge back. Take pictures of the item you going to purchase, odd doing so, though it might help prove what the price was. Don't sign for anything at all, until you see the price of each item and total on receipt and if not right, refuse the purchase of the item. Hope that helps!
The service here is great. They carry a ton of inventory and if they don't have it in store they will check the other location. They paid me well for my games I was getting rid of. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices are quite reasonable.
Horrible customer service. The old lady lied to us about getting my video game disk cleaned for free and charged us 10 dollars for it. Never coming back. Very disorganized. The place also smelled horrendous.
The prices are good, but the nostalgia is invaluable. In a digital-download world, this is the place to step back into 2002 and get your DVDs, CD, and PS2 games and more. As a personal note, Chase was extremely helpful with taking in a ridiculous pile of DVDs. It was a great atmosphere, and he even helped me find the best anime Blu-ray to give me street cred with my kid. Signed up for the $5 lifetime membership and plan to be back soon to expand my retro games collection.
The lady running the store was very pleasant and had a nice thing to say to each customer and she was also very helpful. We'll definitely go back
The people are always helpful and friendly. If you can't find a game or movie, they are more than willing to try searching their other stores. Each one of the employees is knowledgeable in their own right about each game console. I will always recommend just stopping in and checking their inventory.
For a great place to swap, sell, buy, new and used games and movies, then CD Tradepost is the place to be.
It's a good place to go if you need and games or CDs the workers were you got to go check it out
These people are amazing! I've been here on several occasions and have ran into just about everyone at least once. Always friendly! Helpful. They give advice on your systems if you need it. Buy and sell for any system you can think of. I even found a hard to find in this country CD for a band I love. Quality of products is outstanding. Wonderful selection of movies and a few little gift ideas as well. Bought my boyfriend a t-shirt here that he loves! If you haven't, yet, check them out.
