Missed a lot of events due to rain. Looking forward to the weekend! WE MADE IT! Last week and this last Friday night. Great fun for me and the boys. Friday night we saw the jet cars and more. We still have not figured out the classes, but they ran street cars and rods head to head. Good fun. They have food and drinks available - a little pricey - but it seems to be BYOB for the most part. Get there early if you want to park your truck next to the fence and watch from the bed. Better than any car show since they actually run em. $20 each at the gate.
Took my whole family for Nostalgia Drags. I loved the classic car show and the old-school dragsters were really fun to watch. My daughters LOVED the noise and excitement of the drag racing and learning how bracket racing works. The nitro funny cars were AWESOME. Low 7 seconds and 215mph in the 1/4 mile with the smells and cackling noise from the nitromethane are a bucket-list level experience. The track surface is really well maintained and professionally prepped so, it’s conducive to some top-level competitive drag racing. There is limited shade so, keep that in mind on a sunny, hot day. I’d like to come back for an evening race under lights. That would be cool. Unfortunately, the main grandstands were under construction and there was limited seating. I’m not sure why they would hold an event this large with most of their seating unavailable but, it will be really nice once the upgrades are complete. Restrooms and concessions were available on either side of the track. $2.50 for a water kind of stings but I guess that’s about normal for a venue like this. Burgers, dogs and chicken strips were good.
I can't thank Cecil enough for being along the Drag Week I got to participate in. Had a blast at a well setup facility. I hope to race here again

I really love this track the upgrades and the fact that they're saying they're not going to go anywhere unlike most tracks nowadays
1st time there, the only reason we went was supposedly they were having bike week there, but I'm thinking we were tricked, not much, but maybe 30 bikes and tents with old parts. They charged $20 a person to get in. We did stay for the racing, but it was kinda slow and not much going on. The guy announcing really needs to pick it up some he has absolutely no excitement in his voice.
Hahaha my brother Dan invited me to go to Cecil Fri night. What a hoot!! I haven't been to Cecil in long time, maybe like 20 yes ago? Good times!! Keep it between the lines, stay safe.
I think I have discovered a sport I could be addicted to!!! This weekend was the Yellow Bullet race and the cars were amazing. The people were great. I got to stand on the starting line and watch the cars go down the track. The feeling was intense! There's lots to do for everyone here. I highly recommend getting out to the Cecil County Raceway for the fresh air, excitement, food and shopping.
Excellent track to get test and tune passes in. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The track surface varies from night to day. If they say street Night you can expect street night prep vs a Saturday test and tune which seems to be a better prep. Either night or day is cool as long as you know what you are getting into. Both days you will be satisfied with the amount of track time! Great job by the staff.
Road by on motorcycle didn’t know it existed. Can’t wait to go.
