Cedar Falls is the largest waterfall in the Hocking Hills and well worth a visit. The path that leads from the parking lot to the falls is fairly short. You should plan for about half an hour there if that's all you plan to do. However, the path does connect to the others in the park, such as Ash Cave and Old Man's Cave. Those would be a much longer hike, and do have their own respective parking lots if you're not interested in hiking those distances. Picnic area: There's a very nice picnic area in the parking lot with a pavilion to eat lunch in.
I recently visited the Cedar Falls in Logan, OH and it was a sight to see. The Cedar Falls trail is the smallest of the other trails located within Hocking Hills state park and perhaps the most impactful because of the interactive water fall that awaits its guests. There is a small lake to where the falls unite both the water element and human. You may get your feet wet or your entire body. Truly a magical place. Our four-legged friends are welcome. Parking is kind of tight. Nice wooden bridge like stairs called the Democracy Steps that leads to the exit. Great scenery!
We loved our visit to the cedar falls! We didn’t realize we had to climb down stairs but these were not difficult stairs to climb. I loved how scenic it was and s as a family we had lots of fun. Dog-friendliness: It’s definitely dog friendly place.
Beautiful scenery. Very easy trails to walk. If you come on a busy Saturday. You need to be patient to find a parking spot. 9
Gorgeous spot in Hocking Hills, well maintained trails leading up to it and connecting it to other parts of the park. Definitely one of the highlights of the whole park and not to be missed, especially refreshing on a hot day!
This is a well maintained trail with reasonably easy access to the falls. I only say reasonably because the first hill down to the bottom has a few stairs with odd spacing thar could be difficult for some people. The falls are very accessible when you arrive with the opportunity for some very nice pictures. Best advice would be to see the falls after it has rained as it seems to run a bit more then. There are restrooms available at the beginning of the trail with parking close by.
Absolutely adored this park and the falls! Even for a day trip, it's so worth it! Short, easily accessible trail, bathrooms nothing fancy, it is a park, and plenty of parking. There is a Pavillion that's a decent size as part of the parking area, and there are benches along the way for breaks if needed on this stroll.
Absolutely beautiful hike and spectacular water fall. We were in awe of the beauty of this whole area.
Very nice hiking with some truly great views. Restrooms: Clean restrooms. Dog-friendliness: Saw several dogs walking the paths here with little to no trouble.
Really beautiful spot! We stopped there on the way to Cincinnati, from Baltimore, and it doesn’t add much time to the route. Definitely worth checking out!
