I love my new job. It’s a great place to work but I had an incident happened on yesterday where am I had to talk to the administrator. I was very surprised with the management, they were very concerned with me and if I were OK, I’m so happy to say they are very nice people and kind and the administrator too i’ve only been in this field a year and a couple of months the last job I had administrative was not as nice, and as welcoming as this one I can see if this administrator actually care about her employees and I can see that she is actually a really kind and sincerely person and you can just really tell that .now I understand why people have been at this particular job for so long
I work here and have my family member here. LOVE lives here. The staff is very caring to my family, I went a while before telling them she was my family, so there were no VIP treatment because ALL of our residents are VIP. I am so grateful that I have my family here in good hands. I found an administrator who is a patient advocate and an HR rep who is an employee advocate. Thank you, CHHC, for caring.
Every minute with my dear sister, Mary Lou Jessee, is precious to me and to her, I believe. Today was my second visit and it touched my heart to see how sweetly your staff acted toward her. I am an RN and I just completed orientation here for a job as a staff nurse. I have over 25 yrs experience. I have NEVER seen the level of honest commitment that the management has here for their residents and staff. From the HR staff, to front line and ancillary staff to the Administrator! They have a true love for people and a true “it’s all of our responsibility “ attitude. I am 53 and never been so happy to start working somewhere!
When I first visited this facility, it needed a little landscaping but the inside was inviting, the first thing I noticed was there was NOT a smell to the facility and that’s always a plus. Staff was friendly and the residents seemed happy.
This facility has improved substantially through the years. The staff has changed but the additions seem to be a plus. They take care of my Dad and that’s quite a task. But they have made him quite comfortable and accommodated most of my request in a timely fashion. There is always room for improvement. But 4 stars for now should work. Soooo update May 2023. There's been a management change or something. But it's not such a good experience for my Dad anymore. I picked him up yesterday for Father's Day and he was dirty. He smelled and it looked like he hadn't had a bath all week. I've complained about this before and the daytime nurse Shanté promised she would address it in a meeting. As the Director Mabel hasn't returned my call about Dad's medical team being all on one accord. It seems like there's less concern for my Father as I've started to asked that these concerns be addressed. While Shanté his nurse and Tadessa the receptionist seem to always have wonderful interactions and care for my Dad. I can't say the same about the rest of the staff at this point. There are a few jewels in this place so today they receive one star.
My husband had a massive stroke June, 3, 2022. He was in and out of the hospital and different nursing rehab facilities. He has been in Cedar Hill Health Care Center over a month maybe a little longer. My experience from the Administration office to the employees, I am amazed how professional they are. They are very friendly, they interact with the patients and family. Their attitudes are of one who really care. They don’t ignore their patients or the family member. The quality of the patients medical needs and care, is awesome. I give the LORD all the praise! for allowing my husband to be there to get the care he need. He is in the memory care unit, with a “knowledgeable and wonderful staff.” I would encourage if possible that family members would visit their love ones as often as possible and meet the staff. Cedar Hill HEALTH CARE CENTER live up to the name. They are not perfect but close to it.
Too short staffed. Family member had urinated in pull up in which was dark in color and smelled very strong. Help is needed more on the unit of memory care.
The employees are very nice and friendly. The administrator is very good and the DON is great
The staff is so friendly and efficient. J Keep up the great work
