It was delicious, large portions, the salads are meal size. Service was great, the host even pulled my chair out for me to be seated. They did mess up by bringing the crab cake meal instead of sandwich but only charged us for the sandwich after we brought it to their attention. I would definitely go back.Food: 5/5
My sister found Cedar just from a web search and suggested it to me as a possible date night spot for me & my spouse, and it was so amazing that I went back the next night and took my sister too. Every single thing we had both nights was amazing: crab dip; fried green tomatoes; smoked salmon; the bruschetta was more complex and rich and satisfying than I would have thought possible; kale feta salad with sweet potato; beet goat cheese salad; cashew encrusted halibut that melted in my mouth; and even the cocktails were delightful. I haven't had food a fraction as good as this at the beach before. Get yourself here!
The food was generally good but quite expensive. My main critique was the atmosphere - really loud environment with tables close together. Hard to carry on a conversation even with someone right next to you. We were seated directly behind the host stand and the fans blew wind directly on us which was chilly. The hostess kind of hovered over our table and snatched every dish the moment a person finished which didn’t help creating a relaxing experience. Not worth the prices.
We have been intrigued to try this new restaurant and stopped in on a Saturday evening. By luck there was a table open just as we walked in and we were seated immediately. Evan was our waiter and he was excellent, he knew the drinks well and the local things they were named after. He was also familiar with all of the dishes and easily answered our questions. We started with cocktails from a nice selection and shared the conch, clam and character fritters, they came with a delicious dipping sauce. We chose the Cedar paella for two as our entree and it was amazing! The presentation was excellent and cooked to perfection. This is a small space but it is quite loud at times and would benefit from some sound baffles to help absorb the noise. Great job so far and I can only imagine they will keep learning and improving.
The mushroom soup was wonderful but the entrees were mediocre for the price. Rather bland and duck was fatty. Atmosphere was loud and everything was fast. Ok place for a quick dinner at a high price, average of $120 for two with a couple of drinks..,not bad but not great, so sadly only 3 stars in my opinion.
Consistently the best food around! I LOVE the ahi tuna entree! My husband, a meat eater, LOVES the halibut. I could eat there every day! The signature martini with the cucumber infused vodka is the best! Try it for yourselves!!!
This is a little gem of a place. Outside dining available. The service was impeccable . The food was delicious. Very reasonably priced for the area.Food: 4/5
Food is good. Reasonable prices for seafood too Cozy bar with small area for tables. Does have outside seating too. Very friendly and accommodating staff and owners greet you at the door, nice touch.
The food is excellent but the service from Lucy is superb! We frequent this establishment since it is near our house and the place has never disappointed. The crab cakes are a fan favorite, the salmon is wonderful and the tuna is out of this world. My favorite is the duck. Save room for the shareable desserts too. Tammy is a fine server who anticipates your needs and makes the experience extra enjoyable. Jack is an awesome bartender as well.
Overall it was an enjoyable meal. We were lucky that we got in without a reservation.Food: 5/5
