Just left the campground after a weekend getaway. Owners were kind and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and cleaned regularly. Campsite had plenty of room. Owners checked periodically to make sure we were OK. Pretty location, kayaks and canoes available to rent to take out on the pond. Big beach with chairs available. Firewood and ice available in the office. Lots of wildlife to see and areas to explore. Had a wonderful time, will be back.
What a great experience we had this weekend staying here. The owner and his wife were so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. I loved the location and the private beach area for campers only. It was so peaceful and quiet. It’s so awesome that you can ride your four wheelers or sidexsides to the trails from the camp. We will be back next year!
This campground is well taken care of, the beach is relaxing, campsites are great , fellow non related campers were friendly, it’s quiet and very peaceful, Ron and Donna were great hosts and made our accommodations very comfortable. Thanks for your friendly nature and will look forward to returning soon, BTW, following rules is why this is such a nice place. Thanks for our stay. Harry and Carol Ann
The positives: Beautiful area to explore and we will on our return trip. Nice, level, campground space. A bit crowded for our taste. Friendly vacationing neighbors. Excellent view with easily accessible beach and Presidential Mountain. The other stuff: I was rudely greeted because of my husbands iffy driving skills. His behind the wheel judgement can definitely be questionable so BARK AT HIM; not me who has him on the phone already trying to tell him to stop. Actually, good customer service would be communicating and having good listening skills vs “barking” orders. GPS had us turn left into campground instead of right so there was that. The waving CAMPGROUND sign did not specify CEDAR POND so looked like any other of the many campgrounds we see. We were never given a map or told what to expect upon arrival or would have been better prepared. The husband and I ended up having a huge “stress” argument that I couldn’t shake off for days. It’s just how I’m geared. I feel that Mr. Hateful greeter did, in his own way, try to make amends and offered us anything extra we needed at no cost. Firewood, wifi, more convenient parking for disabled husband instead of across main road…similar items. He even loaned us the cable and hooked up for us to have TV. Mr. said b/c I did t mention military for rental discount. Too noisy for us due to being on main road. The damage was already done and I spent the remainder of the time mostly in the camper to keep from ruffling more feather and save myself further embarrassment.
Just finished our annual trip. We come up atleast once a year with our atvs and stay in the cabins they have on site. Everything is always spotless and the campground is quiet and Ron and Donna have always been wonderful to us. Will be up again in a few weeks and can’t wait. Highly recommend for atv trips trail access couldn’t be easier and the campground has every amenity you could want.
Great campground. Owner was very accommodating. We had 2 30+' class A with trailers. Super helpful and very nice spot for hitting Jericho and north. We will be back for sure. Nearby activities: Great trail access
It SUCKED. False advertisement. U pay for electricity at your tent site but can't use. No hot water in shower. The big thing that really set my off is the owner. Not a very nice man and has dumb rules for atv and utv on groundsRooms: 1/5
Let's start with the good. Check-in was a breeze and the woman who checked us in made us feel at home, like family and very welcome. She was amazing and had a great attitude. Honestly, watching her interact with other guests was fantastic. Our site was perfect for our big tent and ATV's. Yes this is a small campground so we expected a little bit of noise here and there which is fine and to be expected. We aren't new to camping There really aren't many amenities here and thats fine too...keep it simple. Just means be prepared and we actually liked that fact as well. The beach is great and you do have the option of renting some kayaks, canoes and peddle boats. If we could've stayed another day we would have definitely done that. The bad: is what it is Having read a bunch of other reviews before writing my own, I'm not surprised by the comments regarding the "rude" gentleman. His approach to an issue at our site was absolutely astonishing. It's called the hospitality industry, not sure treating us like criminals was the way to go nor was making a scene about something so easily addressed and rectified. I did apologized to the sites on our left and right for the show....ridiculousness. Their response "no worries, he's like that". We made an honest mistake....nobody was trying to get away with anything...especially my parents in their 70's, sister and brother in-law 50's and locals. In the end though, we would go back, because the good far outweighed the bad and stuff happens sometimes.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAMPGROUND. THE OWNERS ARE HORRIBLE!!!! ALL THEY DO IS NICKLE AND DIME ALL OF THEIR VISITORS AND IF YOU HAVE KIDS THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE ANY FUN. TODAY MY 5 YEAR OLD SON WAS TOLD "HE IS NOT A GOOD FIT" AND WAS TOLD HE NEEDED TO BE REMOVED FROM THE CAMP GROUND TODAY! THIS BIY HAS GROWN UP AT THIS CAMP GROUND, HE HAS BEEN VISITING SINCE HE WAS 5 MONTHS OLD. MY PARENTS HAVE HAD THEIR SEASONAL CAMPER AT THIS CAMP GROUND SINVE BEFORE RON AND HIS WIFE TOOK OVER OWNERSHIP, EVERYTHING WAS GREAT UNTIL THEY TOOK OVER, CONSTANTLY GIVING MY KIDS THEIR OWN SETS OF RULES, BASICALLY PREVENTING THEM FROM HAVING THE FUN THEY DESERVE ON THEIR SUMMER VACATIONS.
We had a wonderful time at Cedar Pond. The bathrooms are clean and checked on often. Our tent site was flat and had everything we needed. We had read some of the reviews and were a bit nervous but found Ron and Donna to be very pleasant and accommodating. They deliver wood, ice, anything you need. To us, it was simple, be respectful of the property and other campers as you would want someone to respect your property and you’ll be fine! Being a business owner can be tough and from one business owner to another, I respect the boundaries that Cedar Pond has in place. Read the website thoroughly before you go and book so that you understand ALL the details. We did a lot of reading and that certainly helped us to be more prepared! The ATV access was perfect and we can’t wait to go back!
