Centennial Bank Stadium

Description

Centennial Bank Stadium is located on the campus of Arkansas State University and is home to their college football team, the Red Wolves. The stadium was named after the old nickname of the school, the Indians, until the 2007 season when it was renamed ASU Stadium. The venue was again renamed in September 2012 after Liberty Bank donated approximately $5 million to the university, and was renamed in 2013 after Liberty Bank was bought by Centennial Bank. The stadium currently has a capacity of 30,406.HistoryThe stadium's construction was finished in 1974 and the Arkansas State football team began play there the same year. The original cost of the stadium was $2.5 million of which $1.4 million was raised by friends and alumni of the university. The first game played in the stadium was on September 28, 1974 against Louisiana Tech University and Arkansas State lost 21–7. The first victory in the stadium was a 14–7 win over Eastern Michigan University on October 5, 1974. A dedication game was played on November 2, 1974 against Northeast Louisiana University and Arkansas State won the game 17–14.The stadium originally had a capacity of 16,343 when it first opened. This was upgraded in 1980 to a capacity of 18,709. Further expansion was completed in 1991, when Arkansas State moved up from Division I-AA (FCS) to Division I-A (FBS) and new capacity requirements had to be met to keep up with this status, making the capacity 30,708. The grandstand was double-decked with seats and Indian Stadium had a four level press area that includes the press box and two donor levels: Happy Hunting Grounds and Chiefs Council. The area also includes a photo deck complete with an area for filming, Visiting Team AD Suite and coaches booths for both teams. In 2001, a video/scoreboard was erected in the South end zone which cost more than a million dollars to purchase and construct.

We love our local SBC stadium. It is such a nice little stadium and has two waterfalls. It is very well set up for fans, just wish it had better parking arrangements. It is a good time.
An incredible Red Wolves experience. Arkansas may rank among some of the lowest ratings for some areas, but Arkansas State University Red Wolves football at Centennial Bank Stadium isn't one of them. I have to use handicap parking. The shuttle picks me up at my car and drops me off at the stadium gates and is there waiting when I'm ready to leave. From the moment you walk through the gates at Centennial Stadium you can expect the kindest and most professional staff I've ever experienced. From concession, to sanitation, to guest relations, security, fan experience, and every other department; these people are aces! If you've never had the pleasure of attending an ASU Red Wolves football game, you owe it to yourself to experience the greatest show Arkansas has to offer. The band is phenomenal. The video experience immerses you from beginning to end. The fan involvement is on par with any professional NFL team. From the moment you hear The Sound of the Natural State and see the 50 foot flames shooting from the end zone, to the time the Red Wolves run from the tunnel to take the field, the full fan experience lacks absolutely nothing. There's not a bad view from any seat in the stadium. The redesign was amazingly well thought out. And all of this is made even better when the Red Wolves put a "W" in the column. WOLVES UP!
Nice stadium. The outside has improved since they restricted parking but it has made other parking areas more congested. There are plenty of places to park on campus but walking can be a bit much for some. Most other colleges I have attended games at have some sort of shuttle service for parking around campus. I know the city provides shuttle service from downtown but it seems a bit excessive. The institution has started using the facilities for graduation services since the pandemic started. Seems to have made parking worse than when it was held at the basketball arena.
This place was really fun and hype was my first time ever at a red wolves game and it was a really good place I recommend it 5/5
Absolutely beautiful stadium! Seats of course have no backs so you may want to come prepared with a stadium seat for comfort. Also they only accept clear bags in, no backpacks or other bags or purses. Clear only! I typically bring no bags, just a chair, in case changes were made.
I'm not sure if they're in the middle of a reset, but there was an abysmal selection of Women's clothing. That was my only reason for going.
Great stadium and field. The concessions are slow and lack options but overall a nice stadium.
Great people man the place Kudos to ASU team that turned the stadium into a Top Flight experience Claire and her team helped and made a difference
Fan-tastic! Helping out with Sodexo to cater the football game! I'm working, but get to see the game in the greatest place! The smell of popcorn in the air, so ready for kickoff! Wolves up!
Great stadium! Beautiful atmosphere and beautiful people of Jonesboro!
