What an absolute gem of a camp site. I took my 3 year son on his first overnight tent camping trip here and it was just perfect. No cell service so there were zero distractions. The water was perfect, the weather was amazing, and the memories will last us a life time. If you can get site 45, it is the picture perfect camp site.Rooms: 5/5
Nice spot, no cell service which is a plus for many people!. They do have a phone to make emergency calls if needed. I was able to get enough cell service to send/receive texts down by the lake. The campground hosts came by to check reservations they asked me for the last name on the reservation and checked that I had a state park entrance permit. They also made sure I had a copy of the park magazine, which has some suggestions for fun stuff to do. As other reviews have mentioned, the sites are closer together which seems common at state parks. If you are tent camping, be prepared to put your tent on a gravel tent pad since the area is somewhat hilly, many camp sites on the lower loop don't have a naturally flat area for your tent. There is a bath house showers and sinks down by the lake. The showers only have an on button, so you can't control the temperature but the water was warm. Also no flush toilets in the bath house, you have to use the nearby vault toilets. TL;DR: nice, quiet, extremely limited cell service but there is an emergency phone. Showers but no flush toilets.
Was lucky to have same day reservations, unplanned trip and beautiful scenery and wildlife all around. Turkeys wandering through the campground and bison seen grazing as we were leaving. Clean pit toilets, and was visited by a lovely couple that worked for the campground.Location: 5/5
Great campground with so much to do within a few min drive. The showers were hot, and the restrooms were very well maintained. As a Global Google Guide, I highly recommend you check this place out for yourselves. Lakes were beautiful, and one of the best family campgrounds in this area hands down!Rooms: 5/5
The campground is very beautiful. The lake is set up very nicely for the kayak and paddle boarders. It's a campground, so there aren't any rooms or services to speak of.Location: 5/5
Not a hotel. Sites are decently separated. Clean toilets. Friendly camp host. Excellent hikes nearby.Hotel highlightsKid-friendly
Shoutout to park worker, Don! We had some problems with our reservation and he was quick to resolve the issue. So kind and helpful! 10/10 service.Service: 5/5
Nice quiet campground. Several good hikes nearby.
Great spot. Beautiful big trees and spacious campground spaces, hot free showers, and a nice little lake with beach and small playground.
Very cool campground. Right by sylvan lake- in case you can't get into that campground. A great alternative and so beautiful
