not very friendly staff. didn’t even look up from phone when i walked in. i asked if there was braiding hair and without eye contact was told they didn’t have it. Wouldn’t recommend if looking for friendly service. Try Divas Beauty Supply on Santa Monica Blvd across the street from that surplus store. They have everything for an affordable price and they’re super sweet young ladies.

A friend of mine went yesterday to a salon to do hair. He was robbed - he came with a bag just purchased 2,000, 3200 new bought Apple laptop, his air pods, the purse 500 dollars and 200 versachi small bag, money and driver license and two keys from bmw and tesla. - the hairdo was not finished and the salon manager did not want to help him find his belongings and kicked him out. - his mother who came saw a blond lady with long hair leaving a store with his bag. He claimed that there were no cameras. he pretty much was robbed for about 20,000. He filed police report, but it’s a stress for the family. this salon has disrespectful manager. He lies and i have no doubt he arranged the stealing. I hope police will find and arrest and put into jail the person who did it. The place shall have insurance against robbery and they have to cover the loss. but beware to visit this place. unprofessional and not if they steal - this is your worst nightmare!

I LOVED this place!! Mimi is wonderful. She gave me the best highlights for my blond hair i've ever had in my life an also fantastically styled my hair for the upcoming photoshoot ! This place is so small , i didnt expect someone to do such amazing job with my hair, better than even some upscale Manhattan place I'mfrom new york. Mimi said she used to work for a magazine and it really SHOWS. My photoshoot came out amazing thanks to Mimi.

This store is a little slice of cosmetic and coloring heaven. Not only do they have a great hair care collection but their dyes and cosmetics are amazing. They even have a little jewelry selection. No other store in LA carries my pravana vivids and after care cellulose I need. Best part is it's privately owned so you're supporting a mom and pop store. I love this place and the owners.

I have been coloring my hair and others at home for easily 20 years. When I moved to LA, I had a hard time finding the brand of color that I used. I found this store about 5 years ago. Not only do they carry my brand, but they have ALWAYS been super helpful with my in-home color needs. Just this weekend I had a hair color crisis with my cousin! She had previously colored her hair with a product that I was not familiar with Elumen and when we tried to change it, we were in for it. We tried a couple of different processes, but when nothing worked I had to ask for help. This shop doesn't carry the Elumen products, but when we told Albert I think the son of the owners what was going on, he had some advice that we also tried. We tried a couple more things, but weren't happy with the results and went back the next day. He had done some research on Elumen and his I think mother recommended another option, but said if that didn't work he would get some Elumen Color for us so we could get it right. Amazing!!! A shop that would go out of their way to find the product that we might need just to help us! Come on - that's awesome! These people are great!

Always great service. If your not sure isn’t product just ask. Especially with hair color. They always know which color to advise based on what you described. Prices are within Industry pricing.

Mimi cuts hair here -- she's a gem both as a person and as a stylist. She does an excellent job with men's and women's hair including very curly hair.

What's with the model pix on here. They look like they gave them as lemon to suck on right before taking photo. Couldn't find anything more appealing... Bad product impression given!
