Centers for Dialysis Care

Hubby just started dialysis here a few weeks ago so far so good nice clean environment..staff are friendly and professional

Having to be treated with dialysis is a rough experience. It is like you are caught up in the movie "Groundhog Day." The people here are first rate. Melania, Dave, and the rest of the technicians are kind, gentle, knowledgeable, and understanding. The nurses, administrators, receptionist, and support staff are pleasant and competent. To be honest, I only planned to be on dialysis for a few months until my family became adjusted to life without me. These people allowed me to accept my current position and prosper.

The administration of this center fails to respond to customer concerns. They also deny responsibility for any mishaps that occur in their facility despite the obvious negligence of their staff. They leave patients unattended and waiting. They left my parent unattended and he almost bled to death in their care. He had to be rushed to emergency and spent three days in the ICU. It has been 5 months since the incident and we are still waiting on their report and investigation. In addition, they were inserting the needle into his port upside down. The doctor had to draw on my fathers arm to show them where to insert the needle. Since then he has suffered from a Staph infection that he acquired through his dialysis port. It almost killed him. They still have not accepted responsibility despite the port having to be removed entirely from his arm due to the gravity of his infection. If you love your family member, do not send them here!

This is not the closest location to my home, but the technicians and nurses do an excellent job. They show a genuine concern for their patients. Now if I can only get the staff to transfer closer to my house.

The technicians are pleasant and hard working. My family feels comfortable leaving me on their care. I do have some concerns about the recent turnover of staff.

The Shaker Dialysis Center has no respect for their neighbors whosoever. It is common for trucks and ambulances to be parked in their parking lot at 2:00AM. They have their trash picked up every morning at 7:00AM and this creates over 100 decibels of noise. They also do not allow their employees to park in their parking lot. If I could give zero stars I would.
