I've been going to the Washington Office for about 20 years and I definitely don't like going anywhere else. The Dr's have always been there for me and my kids. Dr. Muhly is great for two of my kids and myself. She always takes the time to answer questions or explain everything clearly before leaving the room. I wouldn't advise anyone to take their kids to see April, she just isn't all the way there.
The staff at CC is absolutely wonderful. Susan Albert my pcp has been crucial in care coordination. She listens and really cares about her patients. It’s great to know I can trust and rely on the care I receive.
The last doctor which I think was named Dr. Benning was awful. She talked to me like a child and told me “I had too many things wrong with me” for one visit and addressed ONE PROBLEM. Since when can’t doctors address multiple issues. She might have wanted to word it differently so it wasn’t so rude. I then have filed a complaint, which I have never done in my life, only to have it ignored. I was a patient there for ten years and will never go back. Thanks for not addressing the issue Centerville.
At one time the clinic was superb as my pcp. But upon time after time being on a Merry go Round with new nurse practioners acting as my caretakers, then leaving one by one, year after year, and introducing new np's to my health care, it really was a disturbing factor and detrimental to my well being, both mentally and physically. I felt belittled and treated as a number by the last person to see me..which was Dr. BENING. She seemed uncaring....a know it all as to my persinal needs and care. She was unaware about many things...must nit of even glanced at my prior caretakers notes and the plans for my next years health care doing with my weight program and depression issues. Also she stated she didnt think that my meds and my oxygen were needed and she stopped my meds and tried to stop my oxygen until I told her I have a conseirge with my insurance company and my insurance company works with me contineusly checking by video phone and calls as to my long haul covid symptoms....and they know I need my oxygen for breathing difficulties that come daily and for night time sleeping use. So, I made a formal complaint against the treatment I recieved from her ..directly to the office manager and a written grievance was filed by me also at the office..signed and delivered to Heather the office manager. I no longer want to be a patient a your facility after the board of directors of the clinic supposedly sided with Dr Bening when they received my grievance filing, I received that news via phone call from Heather. I also filed greivances against your clinic with my Insurance company.... They agree..with me and my lawyers that a doctor should not immediately stop a treatment plan and meds that were priorly prescribed for a patient without due cause....such as ,....drug abuse or mental health detriments, or a health issue caused by the prescriptions.....which is not at issue. DR Bening , to me, was pushy and had a cold shoulder bed side manner with me....Im an educated, law abiding citizen with a few health issues that knows when a doctor is looking down their nose at a patient..treating me as though I were a child ,Im woman who knows to be safe and take care of herself and family without being bullied into a doctors and /or health facilities incompetant treatment of the patients needs. Thanks but no thanks , Im moving ahead and on with my health care needs.
Do not go here. I have been taking a simple plain Jane medication non narcotic since 2016 for my migraines. I moved here 2 years ago and had to switch providers. They stated they will refill every other medication but this one because they didn’t prescribe it to begin with…. Umm you didn’t prescribe the other ones either but you filled them. I told them multiple times I need this medication to function on the daily as I get them migraines really bad. I sent in for the refill and then the pharmacy called and stated they denied it. I am furious at this point. Do not go here if you want your daily pills refilled and they only do refills once so each time you have to ask for one. Pathetic. The dr I had an issue with was Dr Benning. Also my bf went in there yesterday because he was sick. As was I I was hospitalized for 4 days due to salmonella. He went it they did a covid test and flu test and said no need for other testing it is just a bug. When actually he had food poisoning too. They do not take you seriously! Like I said this place is a joke. I’ll be going to AHN from now on.
Terrible place for anyone to call needing mental health services, I told the lady I needed help for severe depression suicidal and fast. She told me I could not see a Psychiatrist until I started therapy. Closest appointment was months from now. I explained to her I’ve done both for years and that I would need to ask my family doctor to get me on meds In the meantime. She proceeded to tell me that’s not how it works and I would have to wait to start therapy months from now then get in with the pscy dr to get the meds. Good thing I know better and seen my dr the next day and was prescribed medication to help me through until I see my Psychiatrist in 9 days. Like seriously what a joke. Mental health patients already feel there is no help out there. For her to talk to me like that was completely unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! PS I am diagnosed with 6 mental health conditions… maybe they should check things like that before saying what they “think” they know. I may not have made it until therapy let alone with no medication.
I hate this place. If it wasn’t so much trouble to switch I would have done it years ago. You can never get thru when you call. The office employees and nurses are not very nice. You can’t get an appointment until months out. I waited over an HOUR past my appointment when I had checked in 25 min BEFORE IT!!
Once the appointment was finally held, after 3 rescheduled ones, my son was given a very quick meeting and made decisions without evaluating the care. We were rushed because the next appointment was waiting.
I wanted to come back and give an updated review because a lot has changed at this office in the last few months and for the better! I am now going to be filling prescriptions through the patient portal, which makes the process so much quicker and easier on everyone, and my son’s new doctor, Dr. McClelland, is absolutely amazing!! Centerville did a wonderful thing for their young patients by bringing her onto their team!!
I love my Doctor. Dr Muhly is the best for me. All the the staff and assistants are always welcoming and caring.
