It's a nice place to visit on your way to the aquarium or Coca-Cola world. Definitely a piece of history. Kids will have fun with the playground and splash zone. Great views on the surrounding downtown. However not much of the shade available to hide from the scorching sun
Very nice park in downtown Atlanta. Great place to go for walks, and you get to admire the beautiful skyline of Atlanta from within the park. Very beautiful and clean park and lots of water fountains, too, so you don't have to worry about getting dehydrated while you're out there in the heat. Everything is just walking distance too from within the park since you're in downtown.
This is one of the free places to visit for free in Atlanta. Centennial Park is in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, very close to the Mercedes stadium that hosted the Atlanta 1996 Olympics. It is a vast park for walking around and relaxing with fresh air... It's an excellent place to enjoy the view, take pictures, and have an amazing time reminiscent of the memories of Atlanta '96. I recommend you stop by if you plan visiting Atlanta, GA!
This is the park that was made to mark the 1996 Olympics held in Atlanta. It is a huge park with lots of free space to walk and relax. There are many fountains and playground spaces here. The park has many monuments to commemorate the Olympics. There are a lot of statues too. The tiles have the names of the Olympics participants to honor them. One can spend a good weekend with family here and enjoy the greenery around.
Very beautiful park. And a wonderful remembrance area. Lots of green grass for the kids to run around. Also a splash pad. We had a beautiful day.
Centennial Olympic Park is lovely to walk through . It is well maintained and has so many historical notes. One in particular is the Olympic Rings which is definitely worth seeing and a great photo op . If you're in the area and have the time, definitely take a stroll through here! Then after, you can always grab a bite at one of the restaurants across the street .
Centennial Olympic Park is located in downtown Atlanta and was built to celebrate 100 years of Olympics, this legacy was created and now lives long in memory. There is many links to the 1996 games such as the massive plaque and the towering Olympic flame torches, there is a fountain stream which is a nice touch, the memorial lives on. It’s a great park, it’s surrounded by buildings, offices and hotel which all over look the park. It has many aspects within its vast space, there is pop up jet streams to cool the little ones in this searing heat, there is a small playground for the little ones, the grounds are impressively impeccably maintained. The Olympic Centennial Park is used from time for events and functions and festivals, I attended the pre 4th July Independence Day celebrations, the event was a ticket only the perimeter was sealed, outside could still see. The celebration started with various mini games, there was classical orchestra music, the music moved onto other music themes before the main event of the fireworks, the fireworks were spectacular, it was quality it went on for at least almost an hour with upbeat music background, this was fireworks at its very best in a spectacular setting.
Centennial Olympic Park is located in the Midtown area of Atlanta. The park is very beautiful and clean, and popular to locals and tourists. It’s free for all visitors. Took rest and enjoyed its ambience!
