If I could give a zero I would. Trying to get ahold of someone or getting prescriptions filled or a call back is impossible. The receptionist are rude and there is no empathy from anyone in the office nor urgency for your care. Will be putting a formal complaint in.
This place has gone so down hill. I have been a patient here for years and have never received such horrible care. I was supposed to be seen in September 2021 for a follow up and was rescheduled 3 times due to changes in providers and made to wait 1.5 extra months for my appointment. When I finally got my appointment, labs were ordered and supposed to be sent to an outside lab. The dr said they would send them but they were not sent. I had to call twice to have them sent.. once labs were complete a month later due to their error, I called multiple times to get results because I did not get a letter or call. I called 5 times over 1.5 months for my results and just got a call back yesterday due to escalating the call to the manager. And I was informed by the nurse that Dr Sluiss wanted an MRI and ultrasound within a 1.5 week span before my appointment. It is 2 days later and the manager still hasn't reached out. And now I got a call to reschedule my appointment and they are scheduling out until March. Considering switching to Mercy so I can see my old provider Dr. Fairfield.
My husband has been going here for years for his type 1 and to say that the experience has been awful is an understatement. Getting his prescriptions refilled or a phone call returned is near impossible. They have a terrible and indignant attitude and are completely incompetent. Go anywhere but here.
Trying to get a prescription refill has been an absolute nightmare! I called my pharmacy about 3-4 days after calling it in to check on the status. Pharmacy tells me they still have not heard back from this office and asked me to give them a call. When I called, I was shocked to hear an automated message saying prescription refills were no longer allowed on the message line and to call your pharmacy so they can call it in to them. Well, I have already done that days ago so who can I call to make sure they received the request? I had to call this office back and chose a different selection, only to be put on a list for immediate callback. This was at 11:15 on Friday and it's now Monday and still, no one from the doctor's office has called me back. I have been without my medicine all weekend. This is a medicine I need to take and have been on for years. I have had thyroid cancer and have NO thyroid so this medicine is something I have to take for the rest of my life. I am at a loss for what to do now. I am angry to be made to feel like patient's care do not matter. If this doesn't get resolved today, I'll be on day 4 of no medicine that I need. The absolute lack of urgency for patients in my situation is appalling.
This office is completely disorganized and appears greatly understaffed. It took 6 months to get an initial appointment. And now, it takes between 7-11 days to get a refill of my diabetes medication every single month. Every single month, it's a circus of foolishness. I refill the first day allowable and the pharmacy calls that same day to request the refill. It then takes 3-5 days for the only nurse to call to make sure I want it. God forbid you miss that call, because you will never be able to get ahold of her again. Every single time I call the office, she is at lunch, gone, or busy. If, by some miracle, you can talk with someone with the authority to refill a prescription, it then takes another 2 days for the prescription to be sent to the pharmacy and then another 3-7 days for the pharmacy to get the meds. This is a maintenance medication. It's not rocket science. In addition, the office staff are very rude. When the answer the phone, they act like you are bothering them.
I have been going here for more than 10 years and the Drs are great. I have no problems getting my scripts called in on the day I'm seen yes they change providers to much but atleast you have a diabetic dr I will continue to go there andif your all so unhappy find somewhere else to go and the staff are very pleasant...
Horrible experience trying to get a rx refilled for libre2 sensors. Pharmacy has tried three times. I have called three times and still they have not gotten it right. Instead they called in test strips which i did not need. I dont know what else to do or how to make it any clearer to them but guaranteed i will be on the phone first thing tomorrow.
They are very knowledgeable and the education is great. For those things I highly recommend them. However their office staff is rude and disorganized. You never know if they transfer you to speak with the Portland or Lewiston office, even when you specify Lewiston. Of course, if you have been transferred to the wrong office or person, it’s your fault. They are quite snippy and annoyed. If you are canceling or rescheduling an appointment they make it sound like they need a reason and seem to judge if it’s valid or not. Really impressed with one side of the Docs/ nurses/ education/ care. Really dread dealing with office staff, even face to face- like check in and out. They do not want to be there & don’t know how to smile fake it, like most people in customer service do. This is pre- pandemic & it’s worse now in the pandemic.
This practice appears to be in some disarray. I have had no permanent provider assigned to me. An attempt to have a prescription adjusted/corrected has been met by total silence, even after 4 days of multiple attempts to reach them. CMMC's own call center was unable to connect with them using their own back line. It appears that I would have to make a personal trip 40 miles round trip to verify that they are still providing services.
This place and all of central maine providers are a JOKE! My daughter has seen 6 different doctors in 5 different places since 2016... They try to blame covid but has been going on way before then. they NEVER call back and emails. they are very rude especally dr sluis.....stay away from this company!!!!!!
